Been doing a lot of cable management, server consolidation, and physical space tidying this morning, so had music on in the background.
I'd forgotten how amazing the Beautiful South lyrics are.

That's unfortunate, when the Civil Defence notification tells you to go to the main URL, and also when I have no idea what my local CD domain would be 😬

@MicroSFF@mastodon.art @GreenSkyOverMe@ohai.social oh... hang on, it's possible for the timeline to go
Wizard > chef > traveler
if the chef is medieval and the traveler is modern.
I was thinking more along the lines of the castle now being a tourist attraction/destination hotel with a chef, and the traveler being Victorian era (for some reason), so
Wizard > traveler > chef
Mō taku hē, my bad
Oops. Just used the term 'sealioning' during a Zoom call to a lot of very confused faces.
Here's me (admittedly _terminally_ online) thinking Sealioning was a term much more widely understood than it clearly is 🫣

That's simultaneously amazingly on-brand for all the funding cuts and process by this #nzpol coalition and INCREDIBLY worrying

[Edit: the article has now been updated to remove this paragraph 🤣]
"An online learning system used by the University of Auckland and the Auckland University of Auckland (AUT), has been hit by a global data hacking incident."
Are you honestly telling me that "Auckland University of Auckland" and "University of Auckland" are two _different_ institutions? 🤯
This is a deeply unserious country.

Dates are hard. Always unexpectedly painful.
And then Excel enters the picture and makes a hard problem unpossible.
Someone posted yesterday (or Wednesday maybe) about a great value wireless Te Reo Māori keyboard on CLEARANCE at PBTech - but I can't find the post now.
I am wanting to use it's full features with my Linux Mint installation - so need to create a keyboard lay definitions file - and before I go to all that hassle, I was wondering if anyone had already done that mahi?

I seem to remember them throwing their toys out the pram with the Twitter one because it was highlighting just how many issues there actually were, that somehow never made it into their monthly totals?
