mastodon 4.7.3I'm a forty something who want to make comics when I grow up, but it hasn't happened yet (growing up). Interested in just about anything. Try to steer clear of politics, but sometimes remaining silent is untenable.
Here's a short comic I managed to finish:

Indeed. The widely reported "fraud" by a Conservative funded organisation was about "family voting". That's complete bollocks.
So families can't just talk about who they'll vote on the way to the voting booth? Does it means each time two married people ask each other "who you gonna vote for this year?" they're committing fraud?
Ridiculous.
Fuck that.

Students A: I'm going to university to develop a high level of expertise because I LOVE this subject.
Student B: I don't necessarily love this subject, but the expertise is invaluable in a competitive job market.
Professor: Welcome to University, the place where you develop your thinking skills.
AI peddlers: Hey, we got this tool that can do your assignments for you, much better than you in fact. And will also take your job after, so you'll be unemployed when you graduate anyway.

I personally blame operating systems hiding file extensions sometimes and keeping it visible other times.

Idiot, i don't know. Cruel beyond measure, definitely. His treatment of the natives landed him in a Spanish jail and his name was removed from history until restored centuries later. And that's why the continent is called "America" and not "Columbia".

We thought AI would kill us all:
Turned out AI hallucinates you are dead if you ask about yourself.
We thought AI would be better at our job and replace us:
Turned out AI is worse at your job but your boss didn't realise, tried to replace you then desperately tries to hire you back.
We thought AI job apocalypse in tech would come because it's good at coding:
Turned out the job apocalypse is there, but because AI is so expensive for zero return, banks are stopping lending.

I learnt it, forgot about it and then remembered it when reading the post above.
He also had very misogynistic views (even bad for the standards of the time).
And the whole cat thing was a very sarcastic comment meant to show the concept of superposition was ridiculous (he was wrong).

Plus, having good ideas is the easy part compared to realising them.
Your suggestion has the added bonus of bringing people to collaborate, making the realisation stage much easier.

Does he even believe what he's saying? I think he does.
That's unhinged even by his standards.
I seriously think that he's not capable of seeing the link between him imposing tarriffs on the EU and Canada and the EU and Canada wanting to build trade relations with each others.

We feared gen AI would take jobs away from workers. It won't happen.
But this example shows it is perfectly ready to take over middle management jobs. I'm sure I had a similar conversation with my previous line manager.

So, does it mean the entire French government and every French business using Microsoft products can have their data accessed?
It's more than privacy, it becomes national, and personal, security.

The staff at the met office, of all places, are very well placed to understand the effects of global warming.
I personally think, with this contest, they know exactly what they're doing.
Go and fill this form guilt free!
