@trkzn@mastodon.social its 5 years off not being eurocentric (IME) and it fucked whatever accessibility was gained before in X11 systems. it also claims stuff like hotkeys and positioning is security issues and not a thing people expect aesthetically, to its detractors, its also more monolithic because certain things that were separate processes (window management, compositing) now aren't alterable without altering the main compositor. river is better for this but its an outlier. @benjaoming@social.data.coop

@cwebber@social.coop the time spent dicking around with hisec mining can be better spent making a recreational program in smalltalk

@kzimmermann@c.im i think firefox can be called from the command line, and it should show the SIGILL from there. if not, gdb might be needed. not sure since i havent done it myself though. i remember on debian/nixos it would log SIGILL to journalctl, so maybe /var/log/messages might have it

@raymaccarthy well allegedly its types are meant to aid in type driven design and better domain modelling; but i dont know if this is actually seen in practice in better code structure. same could be said of cxx + its classes @lcamtuf

@typeswitch i am not happy with this but, for foreach though, it wouldn't work with an iterator with a different type but the same interface? unless theres some forked version of chibicc/tcc that makes types structural.

@ncopa@fosstodon.org i wonder how apk would react if an edge system were to upgrade an upstream had no packages for it. i say that because i upgraded my pi0w 1.1 to edge because i was trying to get mdns to work and i read that avahi2dns and unbound worked.

@pkal@social.sdfeu.org i have a patch for making sqlite extensions list a dynamic lisp list of strings (and hence allowing one to disable it by making the list nil); but i dont know if i can contribute it due to the copyright stipulation.
