China's single time zone demonstrates that people will adapt to whatever numbers are on the clock. I mildly prefer year round Standard Time just because it's closer to Solar Time, but that's because of my niche interests. Most people do not care about that. They very much do care about not having to dick with clocks twice a year and suffer from stationary jet lag. Year round Standard Time, year round Daylight Time, world-wide GMT - all would be fine. Stop messing with clocks!

There are a bunch of science fiction stories where the bad guys scoop out your brain, scan the neurons, and upload you to the cloud so you can live forever in virtual paradise, whether you want to or not. The Stone Canal, Iron Sunrise, Jury Service, Software. We are now getting an idea of what *really* bad guys will do with brain scanning tech: the same thing they are currently doing to books. Scan them to train their model, then throw away the useless remains.
