@TechTangents@dialup.space To be transparent, I have spent the last 4 weeks making something for blind people that allows us to control fans, read temps etc. There are lots of apps that do this, most of which are either:
paid
accessible (if you're a power user)
Inaccessible entirely
and as a musician that can play an instrument, I am not someone who can code.
you may well block me now having heard that, but I'm very transparent in the docs and the source that I did not code it. I 'idea'd' it. Always been a good ideas person but I cannot code.
You don't need it and even if you did, I know 100% you would never use it and that's fine, but it's allowed me to delete a paid app I was using for 20 years that became less and less accessible over that period.
That, is impowering.
It is bad for the environment, yes. It is imperfect, yes, but it is hugely empowering, I cannot express how much.
I've made it open-source so maybe one day someone far more clever than I could remake it with human hands, but until then, I continue to work on this daily, sometimes multiple times a day and it's serving a niche.
I can only apologise for my AI usage, I know it's not great, but it helps.
I suspect you won't want to even visit the github page but if you're interested in seeing exactly why I bothered doing this and what I'm aiming to achieve, it's here:
