Direct from Kalamazoo; some business, some tech, some very random stuff.
Heard a report about this as my Lyft driver was driving me to the airport. I got out, but about 8 hours later.
Yes the AI did not do well here, but the real problem is this company not having backups somewhere else, and also iterating on a production environment. People will twist this into an AI is terrible narrative but it's the people controling it that were the big problem here. I once deleted an entire database table form the zone without any backups 20 years before AI. Lessons learned.

RE: @TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space
I was just going to ask around for tips on updating from Windows 10 to 11 in the most painless way possible, fresh install on a new machine. I'm not anti-MS accounts but don't want more bloat than necessary. This sounds like a great start, and open to other ideas.
More free stuff. About 20-25 3.5 floppy discs. Some with software like the Blazie Engineering updates, others are blank or have just DOS on them. Does anyone want these before I recycle/dispose of them?I have already copied the files from these for preservation.
Yup seeing more of this as these things get more popular. Not sure there is much of a value prop left for Copilot.
Also for free, just ask: a box of Luthern Braille Workers braille materials for free, cassettes from the DX Audio Service magazine, et al.
