@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org Do you know blumineck on YouTube? Combines doing athletic things on a pole with archery:

Dragon reaching out. #ModernFolkEmbroidery #CrossStitch Almost half-way done…
#CrossStitch FO! Phoenix pattern.
This was kinda fun.

@frobozz@tty0.social @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I did the same thing, with about the same results. I had high hopes for being a GOOD archer, but it wasn't meant to be.
I can still fletch arrows and make bowstrings, though, if I have to.

Holy carp, calling all Tony Hillerman fans or wannabe fans: Humble Bundle has all the Leaphorn/Chee/Manuelito books available in one bundle!
I am so very tired today.

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org They're also pretty readily available at Target, etc, but the pack give you some pretty colors. I tend to lose black/navy-colored pens too, so I also look for brights.

@CliffsEsport@mastodon.social @ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org I've had lots of good experiences with JetPens. Sometimes it's easier to buy locally though, true.

@Gulleko I'm with you there! Have you seen lots of the usual suggestions, like The Babadook, Let the Right One In, A Quiet Place, etc? I did a horror movie challenge a couple of years ago where I watched 100 horror movies in like 2 months. Lots of BAD horror movies out there, some real bangers though.

@TimmyMac My pref is to get a blunt syringe (sold at most pen shops) and fill the converter/cartidge with them. Then squirt a little ink on the feed.
Oh jeez, tonight at book club I referred to a character as someone's “natural" son. Some of the folks weren't 100% sure what that meant.
Reading Victorian novels comes back to bit me again.
In my defense, “natural son" popped in my mind before “illegitiment son" did.
Again, not sure what that says about my vocabulary…

An audio version would have been nice to help know what the names here actually SOUND like (it's translated from the Faroese)
Names like Norðstjørnan or Blaðið.
I started using Markup R-XP with my cross stitch. I like it so far. There is a bit of a learning curve. (Almost typed “learning curse” which may also work.)
I haven't used it on anything difficult YET, but that's coming in a bit.
Holy cow, an amazing bundle of horror books from Humble Bundle! Lots of Stephen Graham Jones, Robert McCammon, and others.

@Virginicus@universeodon.com Clown-barf has been used by knitters for some time, since the advent of some of the more colorful hand dyed yarns. Some look great in the skein, but knit up like this. When I started knitting socks, it never occurred to me that they should both match with colors. I make more of an effort now. Still make fraternal socks like this a lot too tho

@emery@sunny.garden Nice! Does it cost anything? It costs me $50/yr for an account at a neighboring county.
It's totally worth it though.
TIL that there is at least SOME appetite for country music in the Faroe Islands.
