This yellow was by far the hardest part of the whole project. The remaining color is light yellow and I have only to fill in the spaces that are not to intentionally be left blank. #WIP #CrossStitch

Been a while. Lets do a new #introduction post. I'm Erika, a Canadian with a cat, a husband, and my first baby on the way (due in October). :QueerCat_Autism: 2026 has been a year of big changes for me. I lost someone close to me, been #Pregnant every day of the year so far, started a new job, and will be moving into my new home in the next month or two. I'm looking forward to re-watching Twin Peeks with my husband in the newborn sleep-deprived trenches. Hobbies at the top of my mind right now are writing to #PenPals, #Reading, #Journaling, #Knitting, and figuring out my ideal use of #ObsidianMD. I also enjoy all sorts of #Crafting such as #Crochet, #CrossStitch, #SlowStitching, #Mending, #NeedleFelting, and #BookBinding. I do a lot of the #Cooking and #Baking in my home since I don't have a commute outside of my cat tripping me on my way to and from my office. Other things I spend my time on include #TarotReading, #FountainPens, #DnD, #SoloRPG, #HousePlants, #CozyGames. I'm really looking forward to getting back to #WeightLifiting and my usual #Yoga. I'm still a #Salesforce consultant, focused on not-for-profits. And, of course, I like ants.

Yesterday I bought this fab little bag from a wonderful lady at the arts festival, it will be perfect for storing threads for cross stitch projects. We had a great discussion about how buying material/threads/yarn/any crafty stuff and then actually using them are entirely different hobbies. Part 5 of Not So Scary Apothecary by Tiny Modernist is now complete. I am loving the cabinet, so far I'm not overwhelmed with the weekly instalments of the pattern. Finished just in time for the next instalment of Her Science, Her Story SAL by Climbing Goat Designs. Its almost like I have some sort of obsession with stitching 😉 #CrossStitch

Ordered some fabric and threads yesterday for a new cross stitch project, figuring it’ll get here when it gets here, no rush. But they send it immediately and I got a notification that it would arrive today. That got my hopes up, so now I’m disappointed it didn’t arrive even though I didn’t expect it to be here until next week. #CrossStitch
