@alexisbushnell@toot.wales Well done!
I made a cover with straps for my existing wheat pad and they really help when standing up and moving around.
Hey fedi, got a paint question.
I want to paint a styrofoam head and the paint needs to be waterproof (because I'll be putting a wig on it and that will sometimes be wet).
Is acrylic paint followed by a sealant my best option, or is there a paint that's waterproof that doesn't also dissolve the styrofoam?

Nothing wakes you up quicker than a cat making barfing noises.

@Fruan@kind.social Thanks to a lucky boxing day I also have a signed LRR playmat. I don't play irl magic, so it's just... around.
Somewhere in the ADHD pile. :nervous:

Well that was mid at best.
Not a fan of mockumentaries at the best of times, and the format just sucked all the tension out of it.
Yes, horror movies need slow bits to build up the tension and anticipation, but splicing in some middle aged white dude talking about the history of the place just derails it completely.

@SnyperWolf@kind.social I've been to Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen. Maybe one day I'll get to the last two nordic countries. 😅

If I hadn't already been thoroughly convinced that these people are cunts, the fact that they comfortably say ON TAPE that the camera guy is the kind of person to do a sexual assault, tells me everything I need to know about these people. :SprayBottleNo:
So many flashing lights in this movie.
Why does anyone like strobe effects, all they do is hurt your eyes.
Why would a grown man hide under the covers? :PicardFacePalm:

That was bad, but still not as terrible as the Mangler sequel. :KermitTea:

@Kymberly@old.mermaid.town Homegrown strawberries 🤤
I don't know if the ones in my mother's garden are getting ripe yet, but I'm looking forward to it!

@hollie@social.coop This whole thing is reminding me that I need to bug the healthcare system about my hysterectomy request AND my ADHD diagnosis, because there's no way to track where I am on the waitlist or if I'm even on the fucking list anymore, but I do not have the spoons for any of this shit. :MarioFlop:

@hollie@social.coop Sometimes having a diagnosis is a detriment... I went to the ER with abnormal uterus pain once and the doctor dismissed it as bad gas because I have IBS.
I had to DEMAND an ultrasound. Turned out that my IUD had moved. The IUD that was the main reason I went to the ER in the first place because I was worried it had perforated my uterus.
But no no, that's a silly worry to have, must just be bad gas. 🙄

@hollie@social.coop As soon as they see the word "anxiety" in my records I am immediately dismissed as just a woman being too sensitive. :GuessIllDie:

@Tryllesokker@helvede.net Having my tonsils yoinked was such a relief for me (I had so many tonsil infections), so I hope it's the same for you! :GoblinHug:
When I woke up afterwards I couldn't move my limbs for a bit and it was really stressful! Like my brain was fully there but my body was still asleep.

Tony, you absolutely can and should get the fuck out of there.
These mockumentary scenes just drag me right out of the tension and fucking bore me. Stop TELLING me about the awful shit and start SHOWING me the awful shit. :WTF_Cat:
This haunted house is such basic shit. And WHY would you use real restraints for your actors?! Just get some kink cuffs with emergency release, or at least let her hold the key herself!

Sister goes off to an abandoned medical facility on her own, in the middle of fucking nowhere, not telling anyone where she's gone? Fuck's sake.
And the evidence she found? Let's have a home movie night instead of bringing it to the cops!
Fascinating. So I was right in that it's a brother, but wrong about what kind of brother. Freaky.
A room full of cops with guns, and they can't hit a single person with fancy moves. Incompetent assholes the lot of them.

Well that was a very underwhelming ending.
"Oh, he's locked up in my brain now"
Yeah, but it was still you and your body committing just a FUCKTON of cop murders, so you're not gonna walk away from this.
If you're lucky you're spending the rest of your life in jail or a psych ward, because I don't think "my parasitic twin did it" will hold up in court.

Do cops not carry radios anymore? Or cell phones? Anything to tell the station that you're chasing a killer and where you're headed? No? :PicardFacePalm:
They don't believe in psychics but they believe in hypnotherapy? 🙄
[insert "they're the same picture" meme here]
This is the most overproduced piece of shit "Where is my Mind" cover I have ever heard. Thank fuck they didn't start singing.

You just turned the lights off, why would you not turn them back on immediately when you hear weird noises?! :WTF_Cat:
So her hurting her head somehow connected her to this telepathic(?) killer, who I assume is a long lost brother or some shit since she was talking about a biological connection earlier...
The cops actually listened? Talk about shattering the suspension of disbelief. :KermitTea:

How many actors from Scream can they cram into this movie? So far I count 2.
Yeah, go get him Chica! *a choir of children go YAAAY inside my brain*
Cop, you have given us very little reason to trust you, but it's not like we have a choice.
Chica somehow cleaned the blood off herself? I didn't think she'd have the dexterity.
This security room is very much like the first game. Which means it sucks ass.

First death! Followed quickly by death number 2! Time for a triple. Aaand that's all the ghost hunters dead. Maybe their tapes will be found some day.
Cop has unresolved trauma and pulls her gun out at imaginary dad ghosts. And now she's trying the dream woo-woo the guy was doing in the last movie. 🙄
I have a hard time taking killer dad seriously because he played Shaggy back in the day. Oh nooo, the pothead that talks to dogs is gonna stab me?

@retrosponge@kind.social It had some solid scares, but my main dislike was the format (which is very much a personal preference).

@retrosponge@kind.social I understand, the stubbornness has kicked in.
This movie reminded me of why I don't watch a lot of found footage movies though. I prefer things to be happening in the present, not rewatching something that already happened. 😅

Oh goooood, they can talk now. :Nope:
Both brother and cop are terrible at communicating and listening to eachother. But they will probably do more trauma bonding and smooch at the end. 🙄
This teacher is so dead.
Welp, this is no longer a haunted restaurant, it's a haunted town. Teacher is gonna get it now!
This poor cab driver is not paid enough for this shit.

@Linzington@kind.social I'm just not a huge fan of things being in the past with a character that's alive in the present. Any tension is gone because we already know they survived.

They're linked via wifi? Bitch just find the modem and yoink it.
Why do they keep installing red eyes into these things?!
Plot twist, the cop's brother is also fucked in the head, but he inherited the killer gene!
Good ghost machines are here to save the day by destroying the bad ghost machines! :AirHorn:
