Hello, I'm from the campaign to launch the word "learnings" directly into the sun. Do you have time for a quick chat about what we're trying to achieve?

The accessibility checklist for academic conferences and events that I had a hand in producing now has its own proper address, not under my staff webspace:
https://accessible-events.ncl.ac.uk/
If you work at a university and you're planning any sort of gathering of people, please have a look at it. It contains practical advice about how to make sure people of all sorts are included and able to take part in your event.
Least satisfying sequence in the whole #OEIS? https://oeis.org/A395145
I've come up with another sequence that I can't believe isn't in the #OEIS (#ICBINIOEIS)!
1, 3, 7, 11, 16, 25, ...
Can you guess the next term? Can you guess the general rule?
I haven't done one of these for a while, but the usual rules apply:
* You can ask for hints. Say if you want a big, medium or small hint.
* Put any guesses under a content warning.
* If nobody correctly guesses it, I'll post the answer in a week or so.
yeesss, the power!!!
We got our electric car yesterday, so it's plugged into a normal 3-pin plug now to charge up.
This is my power supply chart: 3kW is going to the car and the washing machine, 1kW to the grid, and 3.3 charging the house battery.
I'd noticed that the solar panels had capped out at around 6.2 kW before we got the car, and I wondered if the limit was in how much we can export to the grid or in the wiring from the panels. Looks like the limit was just grom the grid!
Dreamt I opened an absolute monarchy-themed gym called "Honi sweat qui mal y pense".
We have a banner!
I feel this would appeal to @standupmaths@mathstodon.xyz: ISBN-10 numbers with the same check digit upon conversion to ISBN-13.

Exciting scenes at the maker space: found smoke billowing out of the laser cutter, and nobody else around. Seems the extractor fan gave up.
Now surrounded by technicians with hoovers.
Entering my "I promise this makes sense" era.
What's the line between Google saying in 1998 "we could try throwing lots of commodity hardware at this big problem", and AI companies now buying up the entire computer supply chain?
Like, are the AI companies a sudden jump in ambition, or has it been increasing gradually? Were there any big supply chain crunches like this earlier in computing history?
I've woken up to dozens of emails saying
someone's bought my "keep calm and multiply" matrix t-shirt - https://www.redbubble.com/shop/ap/37572142
What's that about? Has someone mentioned it in a video?
All this lovely sunshine and the DNO for my solar panels still hasn't come through so they're not making me any money ☹️

I just saw a Lumo train with a progress pride flag on the side, but the triangle bit on the left had a black circle on it. What does that mean?
I can buy 15 90cm bamboo canes for £4, or 10 180cm canes for £5.50.
Relevant information: I own something that can cut bamboo canes.
What to do?!?! 🤔
