GREEN YOUTH MOVEMENT

How many storms did it survive? How many birds found shelter in its branches? How many forests began from its seeds? An old tree is a lifetime of giving. Let's be the generation that protects, not destroys, our natural heritage. #trees #biodiversity #environment #NaturePhotography #forestry #nature #Climate #ClimateChange #photography #fediverse #linux #mastodon #afforestation #Monsterdon #world #deforestation #wildlife #ClimateCrisis #ClimateDiary #climateemergencyhttps://gofund.me/8da0ff4a0

🌿A food forest is a diverse, self-sustaining ecosystem that grows food by working with nature. At Green Youth Movement, our vision is to establish a food forest once we secure funding for land. It will increase harvests, restore biodiversity, and provide hands-on training in regenerative agriculture for more young people and communities. @environment @foodpluswords_@flipboard.com @BathNature@ecoevo.social #gardening #Diet #nutrition #agriculture #environment #biodiversity #ecosystems #agroecology #plants #permaculture #UK

In our world currently affected by several social problems like hunger and environmental degradation and others ,we should train and teach them to be problem solvers such that they can be winners of the next generation. #garden #gardening #sustainability #agriculture #food #Photography #linux #Fediverse #Mastodon #environment #Climate #ClimateChange #worldnews #ClimateCrisis #ClimateDiary #ClimateJustice #climateemergency #nature #NaturePhotography #Plants #solarpunksunday #economics #ecology

@Walrus@toot.wales @plantbasedtreaty@veganism.social Okay,I understand that. On our side,we are growing them outdoors as we train young people in schools and communities to have the knowledge about food production. We also support the most vulnerable families with the harvests after every season ,here in the Byerima communities.

🍅 Tomato growers, settle this: Do you prefer tomatoes fresh from the garden, still warm from the sun… or chilled in the fridge? I’m genuinely curious. 👀 Boost this and let’s see which side wins! 🌱🍅 #gardening #photography #Linux #Fediverse #mastodon #vegetarian #vegetables #tomatoes #homesteading #agriculture #sustainability #Climate #nature #NaturePhotography #ClimateChange #food #ClimateCrisis #Economy #environment #farming #garden #urbanfarming #permaculture @gardening @plantbasedtreaty@veganism.social

The world's biggest population are the youths. If we do not make thorough use of these young people, most of the world's biggest problems, will not be solved. They have a lot positive to contribute to this planet, please always consider and train them where necessary as they are the heirs of next generation. #garden #agriculture #gardening #food #ClimateChange #Climate #Photography #linux #Fediverse #Mastodon #ClimateCrisis #environment #ClimateDiary #climateemergency #NaturePhotography #Economy

The most important things in life rarely come without intelligence, sweat, sacrifice and sometimes loss of blood. Our work in vulnerable communities is no different. Food security and environmental conservation demand knowledge, hard work and courage. We invest in people and nature because both are worth the struggle. #gardening ##agriculture #sustainability #Climate #nature #NaturePhotography #ClimateChange #food #ClimateCrisis #Economy #environment #Linux #Fediverse #Mastodon #farming #soil

https://gofund.me/8da0ff4a0 The best solution to end hunger is by growing food. The best way to protect the nature is by conservating the environment. The best ways to preserve all the above solutions to the respective problems, is by grooming young people and local farmers about sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation. Support our programs through donating or even boosting our land fundraiser #Mastodon #Fediverse #Photography #NaturePhotography #Fediverse #linux #USA #mutualaid

@potterybyosa@mastodon.social This is good to hear. And best of all, using it as compost in the garden, the wood shavings are sources of a good fertiliser to the plants. Meanwhile, we also hope to practise more of these agricultural skills once we have got our permanent place for agriculture. We are always disturbed by land owners every season! What are you growing in your garden? #gardening

Green Youth Movement (Reg. No. 875BY306) is a registered organization in Central Uganda empowering communities through sustainable food production and environmental conservation. We train farmers, donate part of our harvest to vulnerable families, and fight hunger. We are raising funds to secure 3 acres for a permanent demonstration farm to expand training, food production, and lasting agricultural impact. Join us in growing hope #introductionhttps://gofund.me/8da0ff4a0

Help us turn land into a living classroom, a source of food, and a future of hope. We’re raising funds to secure land for a demonstration garden where young people learn sustainable farming & conservation while vulnerable families receive nutritious food. Every donation matters. Two of our five birds, are laying eggs! We hope to incubate 100 eggs every month once we have got more birds. This implies that ,we need to have 100 egg layers to make this possible! #poultry #birds #Monsterdon #BirdsOfFediverse #birdsofmastodon #mastodon #Fediverse ##nature #NaturePhotography #ClimateChange #food #ClimateCrisis #Economy #environment #Linux #Photography #gardening #sustainability #agriculture #Climate #caturday #solarpunk #farming ##USA #uk #Tuesday #skills @Kolera_Kokido@tooter.social

@petergleick@fediscience.org What strategies are you applying to end climate change?

@potterybyosa@mastodon.social we should use everything that we have sustainably knowing that any time it may get exhausted. Thanks for the great innovations about the wood used in the kiln. Have you also tried the wood shaves got when making timber? I habe seen people use it in certain stoves for fuel instead of charcoal

@Quoidian@mstdn.ca @potterybyosa@mastodon.social Okay, and the fish with other similar fertilisers are rare, so wood shavings would be the best option as it is easy to get

@Quoidian@mstdn.ca @potterybyosa@mastodon.social yeah, those are also fertility conserver plants in the soils. We are growing beans and groundnuts which are reguminous. And how are you practicing your gardening?

@Walrus@toot.wales @plantbasedtreaty@veganism.social Oh,wow. It seems like most people love the tomatoes salads 🥗 really. And right, tomatoes are best when still fresh. However, what could be the reason for putting them under sunshine such that they can be warmed? Why do you like warm tomatoes from the sun? Hahahaha 😆

@LenaA@toots.nu @Walrus@toot.wales @plantbasedtreaty@veganism.social Yeah, but what if the tomatoes are very many like 10kg, what can you do?
