Replying to

@stefan@stefanbohacek.online @admin@blorbo.social I was there during the twitter migration, and saw some very immature shaming of newcommers not using Alt and CWs. Which prob gave the fedi a reputation that may still persist, with some that left. From that, I took the lesson that you cant scold or require these things. Ppl will leave. It's also not respectful to a fellow-human stranger. Now, they are not bad ideas. And there is far more value in -building- their cause. Than tearing down a person who's iffy to them.

I have IFTAS on the notification bell to make sure I see them all. And Limit/Suspend 90% of the time. (I do what I can, but again, one person.) I am always greatful for your alerts. And guides. Tho, I see IFTAS as a resource like Wikipedia. So sarcasm in it feels.. off.

Katsuhiro Otomo made the manga for the dystopian world of Akira. He then went on to animate it before the manga was finished. That movie went on to storm the world to help show what Japanese animation.. what -animation- can do.

Now working on his 3rd film, Otomo announces the creation of Oval Gear Studio. An #animation studio. It is looking for animators. See website for details.

🧵 Also, once I am able to use it, I intend to make two Collections, if possible. The second will be an Animation collection for the Fediverse in-general. But the first will be a Socel collection. An opt-in one of Socelites who want to be featured on it. Now, it only has room for 25 accounts. So a selection process will be made, if needed. But you will have to request to be on it. So start considering if you want to be on such a thing.

Today is the last day to donate to Socel's Kofi for the Mar 20 to Apr 19 rent. If you have anything you can give, please do.

If every active member of Socel gave $2, we would be roughly fully funded. If half of our active Socelites gave 5$, we would be about fully funded. But I only ask for what can be given safely. But I also remind that someone has to pay the cost.
