"One of my hopes is to age into a better mindset.
The general trend seems to become less open minded, less resilient, less capable of handling change with ease and flexibility as the years roll by.
I hope to grow in the opposite direction. How can my mindset be better today than it was yesterday?" ~ James Clear

@sil Can't be of much help, but also left-handed and I remember (long time ago) looking for calligraphy pens for lefties. The only options I could find were nibs that were canted 90°, presumably so lefties could write (sort-of) right-handed. Gave up at that point. Hopefully we've evolved something better. 🤞

This may or may not interest you. Cornell University has an app called Merlin (think falcon, not wizard) that has a Sound ID feature. Basically it ignores everything but bird calls. I often turn it on when going for a walk and put the phone in my pocket when going for my walk. So far Merlin has noted more than fifty species in our neighbourhood (NB: this includes the ocean and a 200-acre park, but still... We've had 34 species in our backyard and/or passing through.)

Most people don't understand the meaning of the word competition. From the Latin competere, it means, "To strive together." Seek the best in yourself and encourage the best in those around you. That's the real prize. 🏆
