@leymoo In the US, that was called a party line. To reduce costs, a bunch of people would share a single line that only one person would use at a time out of courtesy, BUT anyone sharing the party line can actually listen in or talk if they want to. Alfred Hitchcock Presents looks like it was a US TV show. In 1960, there was an episode called party line. The alternative is a private line.

Day 17
About being 17
#30daysongchallenge

I was a little too tall
could've used a few pounds
Tight pants points
hardly renowned
She was a black-haired beauty
with big dark eyes
And points all her own
sitting way up high
Way up firm and high

Out past the cornfields
where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 chevy
workin' on mysteries without any clues
workin' on our night moves

dive for dreams
or a slogan may topple you
(trees are their roots
and wind is wind)

trust your heart
if the seas catch fire
(and live by love
though the stars walk backward)

honour the past
but welcome the future
(and dance your death
away at this wedding)

never mind a world
with its villains or heroes
(for god likes girls
and tomorrow and the earth)

@breadandcircuses@climatejustice.social I discovered a few years ago that, if you replace grass with clover, you never need to cut it. Even beyond that, when I was a teen whose job was to mow the lawn, I thought we should just let it grow. Have a meadow instead of a lawn.

Fallen (1998)

Crime-Horror is an interesting backwater hybrid genre.

This film stars Denzel Washington as a police detective tracking a killer that turns out to be a demon that can hop to nearby bodies. This is how the film opens, so it's not a spoiler.

Fallen got lukewarm reviews upon release but has since developed a cult following, which came as good news to me because this is my favorite Denzel film.
