Started watching Space: 1999 again (for the first time since I was a kid). I mean, there’s obvious flaws, but it’s held up surprisingly well. Eagles destroyed count: 4 in the series opener 😆

One quibble. Parts of David’s brainworm were visible long before you noticed. His example was, in no small part, responsible for the early dearth of women in Rails, and at Rails conferences. And we (Women In Rails panel, 2009) called him on it. In retrospect, that experience just led him to hide the signs until his money & power let him give free rein to it again.

Once again, CTV’s coverage is incomplete. They fail to mention that a petition on the OTHER SIDE of the separation question, operating under much more stringent rules not only succeeded, but collected double the signatures in less time, and without all the USian money 💰 support.

I could be wrong, but I thought Sassinak was all Anne’s work. Can’t find the physical book so I’ll have to finally get Calibre set up on my new computer to check.
But after the original Ship Who Sang, all others in that series are collaborations. BTW, Mercedes is working on a new book in that series but I don’t know when it’s supposed to be released.
Another Anne collaborator on that series was Jody Lynn Nye.

Some of it is a little rough atm because I’ve switched blogging platforms 3 times. I’m just in the process of adding the oldest posts back in from a very old backup. Should be there tomorrow-ish.
I hate jet lag. But after an hour and a half nap when we got to the hotel yesterday aft, and staying up until 9 pm, I managed a 5.5 hour sleep. Feels like I can tackle a day of walking around in Zurich.

You’re most welcome. You probably wouldn’t be surprised to find out how many realtors have been completely exasperated with me over the years, as I needed to find new homes with adequate wall space for my bookshelves. They’ve spent too many years languishing in basements, and I’m so happy to finally have them all on display in our main living space.

If anything, we should be sharing links from the Fediverse … there. And include a comment with a call to action to join the appropriate space.
Starve legacy corporate social media of all attention. If people you follow share stuff like this, remind them to slow it down or stop altogether with replies like x;dr or fb;dr.
