I was about to give a homeless guy $5, but a passer by said he would just spend it on drugs. I reconsidered and said "ok, I'll give you the money, but you have to show me where you get drugs for only $5!"
Begging my cat to be normal and start begging for food and stealing it off my plate, instead of only being interested in eating hair ties and puking them up in my office.
I haven't done much with it, but I did actually manually build a kubernetes cluster on 3 VMs, named curly, larry, and moe.
Part of the vague architecture plan was to set up PXE booting of worker nodes, i.e. "LAN party super computer"

@flipper @pluralistic Exactly. I'm not impressed by a magic show because I think magic is real, I'm impressed because I know it isn't and still can't figure out how they did that. If magic was real then ok, whatever, hes just one of those guys that can teleport red balls between boxes, not even a lady or a whole car, pretty lame really, hes stupid for not just walking around teleporting wallets into his backpack.
If AI is so smart, why hasn't it made your company profitable yet? Pathetic.

Theres decades of compatible parts lying around in warehouses and junkyards, and I don't care if I have to swap an engine that isn't "compatible" and custom mount it. That sounds better than a new surveillance-mobile.

Styles ranged from sh/bash-like, to C, Java, or "native-ish" perl that used different syntax in different situations

I think the lower contrast on the eyes also makes it mysterious, or slightly menacing. It takes me a second to see the eyes, and then realize they're looking right at me!
