@energisch_@troet.cafe And those women who did (and still do) fight for our rights didn't fight for the law. They fought for rights. The laws that exist were appeasement, not the fruits of their labour.
Then law protected white women more than it protected other women. And it didn't protect those other women from white women.
Law protects the powerful from the powerless more often than the other way around.

Those people really want power, and money is just a way to have power. And when they are unable to become more powerful by acquiring more money, they will try to gain power by impoverishing others instead.

People who haven't experienced narcissistic abuse don't seem to understand the difference between lying for deception, and lying to demonstrate contempt.
Deception is when someone steals your lunch and says they don't know what happened to it to avoid consequences.
That's very different from someone looking you in the eye and tells you they don't know what happened to your lunch as they eat it in front of you.

People don't want to set aside their comfort to engage with the messy reality of the world.

That's not cynicism.
Impeachment failed twice because the republican party won't voluntarily give up power. The mid-terms only have power if elections are free, fair and binding.
You can hope for those things, but hope is not a plan.
Today the only viable tool for a peaceful resolution the crisis is economically disruptive direct action.

@dumpsterqueer Because work makes me use LLMs (booo 👎 ), I have developed some prompts that make it less bad.
I have had moderate success with configuration prompts that have it warn me if i make request with an elevated risk of incorrect hallucination.
I am a bit resentful at the amount of work i have to put into making this alleged tool less unuseful
