I mostly work in C++ and zombies, though I occasionally dabble in lisp and other eldritch horrors.
Last training run before attempting a half marathon. 11.25mi and 900ft+ of climb. Shorter but nearly twice the climb. I'm well situated to finish, it's just a matter of pace.
I'm very, very interested to see what kind of pace I can sustain with a week+ of rest beforehand. I'm hoping for a 10min/mi pace, but last time I said that I did 9:24 so we'll see.
Weight loss can be very weird sometimes. After most of a year of 1lb/week loss at the same exercise and intake level, it leveled off for a significant period. This happened as I was starting to do half marathon training so I was like OK fine I'll ease off the deficit for improved recovery and then resume post-race. But then the loss started up again? I'm working out more, but I guarantee I am not working out 1,000 Calories per day more as this would suggest.
I have unintentionally acquired a HP ZBook Fury with a NVIDIA RTX 3000.
Any recommendations for what flavor of linux to put on here considering *gesticulates wildly, almost falling over in the process* THIS?
The primary serious workload will be compiling and running a certain large c++ codebase. I'm not going to be demanding on the RTX other than trying to run a bunch of monitors from it, the priority is just stability.
I'm not prepared to try to dig into BSDs or other alternatives right now.

Ok magnitude aside, doing a deload week, which for my lifting plan means same routine but 60% weight, and I was like, wait, this was my target not that long ago...
Looked it up, what I was lifting in MARCH is what I'm doing now to "take it easy".
Likewise, I ran 4 (very hilly) miles, to "take a break from real exercise".
I don't have the stats in a handy dandy spreadsheet, but not that long ago just finishing the exact same 4 mile run was my seemingly unattainable short-term goal.
Finally someone working toward true feature parity.

Completed a 5K run for the first time at a pace of 9:40 per mile. I was hoping to be anywhere around 10:00 and was pleasantly surprised.
@futurebird@sauropods.win I have and have known other people that have hidden money at some point. I don't think the story about why is going to be a happy one.
