When you deposit money in your bank account it actually then becomes the bank's money, and they simply owe you the money back pursuant to a really crappy loan agreement which pays you basically no interest.

I couldn't even get AI to make me a compound interest calculator. It did it incorrectly. I have no idea what anyone uses this "tool" for.
I do use a dictation tool which is an LLM (local) and it works well. That is the only use case I have found so far for me.

The U.S. State Department generated a map of Africa during an international conference.
It misidentified countries and positioned them all over the continent. It didn't even get the shape of six countries correct.
Yes, it was generated by a white supremacist using AI.

I agree, but the article does point out that these turbines are right at the nesting site of an endangered bird. So it's more about protecting that particular bird than it is the numbers.
Cats are by far the biggest killer of birds. By far.
(Edit: but hey why not a bit of paint? Also, it cuts the talking point of people who whine about turbines killing birds being a reason not to adopt turbines. ...

"But the fintech company you’re signing up to do business with, X Payments LLC “is not an FDIC-insured bank.” And the FDIC “only covers the failure of an insured bank,” X Money has disclaimed."
Glad the article got it right. If x loses your money you get nothing. You're not insured for nothing. Also, Elon is a white supremacist Nazi so why would you give your money to a white supremacist Nazi unless you're a white supremacist Nazi.

I just asked a local AI (Jan, v3.5 4B) using to examine my website and it misspelled it. When I corrected it via a second prompt it apologized. It's not alive, this is like your search engine apologizing. This is all marketing nonsense.
Oh and also, remember, it literally misspelled my website *which I had typed into the query*.
I have no idea how people are accomplishing anything with this tool.
I just asked it a test legal question and it got it completely wrong and cited an old 1978 case.

Reuters was less polite about it and noted that _every single country_ on the continent was mislabeled.
(Edit: I guess I'm going to have to find the map because everybody seems to be saying slightly different things about it.)
Oh my God these Nazis. It's only a matter of time before they confuse Canada and Mexico and impose a 100% tariff on Canadian hot sauce which will have absolutely no impact. 😄

So I opened the article expecting some kind of malware attack needed but nope the charger is just completely open to root access. Okay.
"An EV charger's charging port is a network port. We found SSH and Telnet services exposed on XCharge C6 chargers with default root:root credentials. A threat actor with a malicious EV can gain immediate full control access on the charger and perform energy theft or potentially cause physical damage."

"For the uninitiated: the Book of Enoch is a Hebrew text from around 200 BCE, cut from most Bibles and considered canonical mainly by the Ethiopian Orthodox church. It’s best known for the Watchers, fallen angels who come down and father a race of giants. It is a lot of things. A residential solar lease is not one of them."

Citizens cheered at the news that ICE had issued a directive to back off traffic stops but this was quickly replaced with terror when they realized the directive was simply to shoot the drivers in the head from 50 paces and not bother trying to stop the car at all.

It has now made up a completely fictitious case, with fictitious quote.
Edit: two cases, with two quotes. 2019 ONSC 234 is a criminal case. And the link did not work. (I mean, it fed me a link, but since the case is made up, the link obviously could not work.)
Is this all just a big prank? I am just curious about it, and I cannot get it to give me basic information. I could not get CoPilot to make me a compound interest calculator. But I'm supposed to believe people are coding with this?

Republicans say that immigrants are taking American jobs but they (and industry) introduced the cheap labour to union bust in the 70s (and have continued since then).
Once more Republicans destroy everything they touch because they serve the oligarchs. (Also they are child predators but that's separate from union busting.)
Good podcast about unions getting busted in the 70s and 80s and on.

Didn't Luddites break machinery as protest for better working conditions? (That is, to create leverage for the workers.)
Maybe the people _should_ be called Luddites but then also get back to the original meaning of the term. 🤷

A compound interest calculator, which someone made with Copilot, is not correct.
It took the effective annual interest rate and divided by 12, which results in a higher monthly interest rate than it should of course for a monthly rate compounded monthly.
So again, I'm so VERY glad to have seen trillions of dollars poured into this absolute trash.
(LLMs do not have any capability to deal with math properly so this was the expected result, by the way.)

The various churches have different collections of stories in their Bibles as I understand it although I've never tracked them all to ground. I was just reading an article which was mentioning one of the stories in the Egyptian Orthodox Bible which is no idea in any of the others. I can't remember the name of it right now.
