Having just read about the atrocities being inflicted on prisoners in Israeli jails it’s hard not to feel they are acting like WW2 Nazi’s.

I campaigned strongly during 2014. If one reply sickened me it was 20 year olds declaring ’I don’t do politics’.
I wanted to scream at times ‘do you know how effin government works?’

I cheer(?) myself up by thinking what did we do to deserve Trump, Netanyahu & Putin? Starmer is as useless as they come re his refusal to seriously stand up to them & don’t have faith in his replacement at all.

What could be more simple for a power company than the customer reading their own meters and submitting result by trusted methods in use for decades?
My last property had ‘forced’ on us, wifi meters. The gas one (exterior) was too far from WiFi router so I still had to read it myself.
I am currently refusing to have meters changed.
The conservative candidate in this constituency appears to have two votes😳
A car in the polling facility car park had two union jacks inside the screen in front of drivers & passenger seats.

@Annacats@mastodon.social Wow! Identical to the wee cat rescued by daughter and later passed on to mum & dad when (non cat lover) boyfriend took priority. Marriage & 3 children later cat went back to her and survived young family until recently, age estimated by vet reckoned to be approximately 23. Not bad for an unwanted rescued stray.

Wow, now I know why we all fell asleep on crew change helicopters in N. Sea. The flight going back to beach invariably had 100% passengers sound asleep. I put it down to overworked!

Agree about the volunteering!
So far I’ve helped refurbish an old steamship, a square rigger cargo ship, cut grass at communal village garden & at the moment playing for (maybe annoying) old timers in care homes with a ukulele group.
Variety is definitely the spice of life!
