There looks like a lot https://www.absp.org.uk/words/studynosing.shtml
Although some of these just sound plural but they refer to singular things.
Still I like that there’s never one doldrum (or oodle)

@mathowie @mekkaokereke Digging around I find another case of Fidelity doing this and a couple theories:
1) The SPLC indictment forces Fidelity to not fund them. Similar to the NRA?
2) The regime might be trying to change SPLC's charity status & Fidelity would also be forced to not allow funds to go there.
I'm not sure why one would set up a charitable giving account ... but it would seem like you could divert money from there or somewhere else outside of Fidelity to do what you want, right?

Depends on your goals and position in the hierarchy & power dynamics.
I once waited what I considered a LONG time to make a decision because I wanted the input of a new team member. I don't remember what the decision was - but I do remember the working relationship was a good one, and I think it started right there.

@curtosis @Bongolian @mathowie @mekkaokereke Thanks for the explanations! That all makes sense - but it's a odd/new concept for me to not be able to control where your charity money goes.

Don't most of your perishables end up in a refrigerator?
Since the rate of perishableness is highly variable, along with the criteria for “perished" being debatable and the fact that refrigerator shelves are often acted upon by multiple family members, I'd have to say that that FIFO stack sounds pretty much impossible.
My voice of experience is don't go arranging kitchen things without prior approval. Although you might be able to put the Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme in order 😏

“The IT Crowd” is great but you might need Britbox to get it. Father Brown, Karen Pirie, Shakespeare & Hathaway too if you do that.
“Resident Alien” is amazing on AppleTV as is Silo
I really liked Wednesday, & Man on the Inside, on Netflix
I think hoopladigital.com is the same for everyone, whereas Kanopy is filled by your library. Kanopy is just movies, but Hoopla has books, music too. Both great services to check out.

@ndr @_Davidsmith 🤨This is a pet peeve of mine!
I think EVERY time an app goes on sale - every price ever used goes onto that app store listing. I wish I knew how to suggest devs clean that up.
One prevention step would be to not use the same words for your sale as for your typically sold version. AND put your differentiating 20 characters first.

@dademurphy@toot.community @infinimatt@hci.social @JTostitos@techhub.social @christianselig@mastodon.social I agree that Apple should do more. I also believe that zoom is a feature many (most?) that don’t know about. I didn’t - and I’ve listened to a LOT of podcasts 🤓
Also the tapping might still be tough for some with the timing - even if the 3 fingers are in sync - and I think the default is “full screen” which I think is more disorienting than the “window” setting.
Replying to
@infinimatt@hci.social @JTostitos@techhub.social @christianselig@mastodon.social would the Accessibility / Zoom feature help? Seems like you can set the mag so you can move around with a smaller overall text size.
Not letting #Apple off the hook - but it might help.
I found out about this from a low vision person on Android that has a similar feature.

@bennomatic@appdot.net Not really - Microsoft doesn't know anything about macOS 28. But Apple can tell if there's old Intel code running through Rosetta 2 and pops that dialog up whenever it touches any of that.
from:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosetta_(software)
"... Most Rosetta 2 features will be removed from macOS with version 28 in 2027.”
How to tell: https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/486343/automatically-identify-apps-that-use-rosetta-2 My computer seems to be very sluggish to show me a listing of my apps.

@JetForMe@geekstodon.com I don't have any desire to work in metric - but I do have some opinions about calculators & apps. It does seem very useful to have an app work out those above & below targets.
I do wonder if you could make some of the information bigger on the screen? Do you support dynamic type?
Is % over/under useful to you? I would think you'd want actual dimensions to those targets. Maybe in thousandths of an inch and mm.
why do you have two minus & two divide buttons?
