Accessibility is hard. Setting mom’s new phone up and at the larger text sizes you can’t read what you’re supposed to say to Siri so you can’t progress 🥲

Nolan created the ultimate immersive experience: I became Odysseus by firing an m&m at a guy who was on his phone and he never took it back out
Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/144f6xm/apollo_will_close_down_on_june_30th_reddits/
Weird sensation has set in after 6 months where the iPhone Air doesn't feel thin anymore, it just feels normal/baseline, but picking up other phones feels like a prop phone

omg mastodon finally added quotes but disallows attachments?? honestly this site sometimes
While we're complaining about tvOS video players can we touch on the YouTube app tanking half the videos to 240p as soon you change playback speed to 1.5x
Somehow summoned the world’s smallest iOS keyboard

Okay figured it out, if you have *project* level config.toml, the following works fine for the codex-cli but not codex-mac:
[mcp_servers.XcodeBuildMCP]
command = "xcodebuildmcp"
args = ["mcp"]
Adding the environment specifically seems to fix the Mac app, and I just moved it to global codex config:
env = { XCODEBUILDMCP_ENABLED_WORKFLOWS = "simulator,ui-automation" }
To be clear, unlocking the vehicle works well, but it getting the driver profile correct is like a coin flip if there are two valid drivers in the vehicle, so the car frequently has the wrong seating position for the driver when you get in
This is made worse by Rivians not being able to change the profile if over 3 mph, so if you leave in a bit of a rush and don't notice the wrong profile, you have to pull over to reset the profile or fiddle with seat/steering controls manually
What even was that Chainsaw Man ending

It was obvious back then but I love seeing the Mini-Me impression confirmed in the funniest way possible https://www.wired.com/story/inside-reddit-protest-ipo/

@heals@indiepocalypse.social Yeah I noticed that too, and I don't even think it's a bug, I remember a post somewhere where Google stated that it's bizarrely intentional? No idea what they're doing over there

@command_tab@hachyderm.io Yeah I was surprised, quite a few rough areas

@rickscully@heads.social I mean sure but Apple doesn't make cars, Rivian does 😛 I'd think about what you'd honestly be missing by not having CarPlay with Rivian and if privacy is the only thing I don't really think that's a concern

@rickscully@heads.social Rivian's navigation voice is pretty good haha. With some companies I totally agree on the selling angle, I think with Rivian though funnily enough their angle is more Apple-like in general: they want to control the stack rather than have potentially massive dependencies on a partner

@dusave@mastodon.social It seems really fragile and not super supported? https://www.reddit.com/r/span/comments/1mheilu/using_span_panel_without_internet_during_an_outage/

@FlatFootFox@hachyderm.io Hahahah, hopefully these voice systems make a generational leap over the next few years, it's rough

@touketsu@sakurajima.moe By the looks of it just maps the existing SPAN stuff into HA unfortunately, still all cloud based

@bob_zim@infosec.exchange Yeah, it's laminated, but I figure shattering it plus some kicks would be a good combo
Is there a trick to getting Claude Code on mobile (through remote-control) to show videos? Photos work fine, but even with different codecs videos are grayed out and untappable

@rickscully@heads.social Fixed thank ya! What part of CarPlay entices you so much out of curiosity? Ioniq 5 looks great but dang those ICCU issues scare me

@drvolks@mastodon.social No web views on tvOS exposed unfortunately, could build something private though but you'd never be able to submit it to the App Store until Apple exposes actual web view APIs
