Check out this amazing story (to me, anyway) of a 1000-mile-long cloud that consistently forms and disappears on #Mars.
As a climate and water scientist, this fascinates me.

This article doesn't mention climate change.

Rachel Carson's "Silent Spring" was released on this day 62 years ago. I have a first edition & come back to it often, including this paragraph in the chapter "Obligation to Endure."
It's worth reading.
"We urgently need an end to these false assurances, to the sugar coating of unpalatable facts."

Posting this from another platform via Mrs. Betty Bowers.
The major platforms—Facebook, YouTube, and X—are all refusing to show the trailer for the upcoming documentary that eviscerates the ridiculous pest Elon Musk. So I guess we have to do our part to make sure it is seen.

Given the outrageous, dangerous, and outright false statements made about how the polio (and other) #vaccine was a "fraud" (at the Children's Health Defense conference), here's a reminder of what a massive success it was.
RFK Jr. & his minions must be stopped from destroying the US healthcare system.

Any over/under on how long this lasts before he shuts it down completely?

Just a reminder of what Trump Tariffs do:

- When declared illegal, they're paid back to corporations, not you.

You know what? If Trump et al. really cared about #nationalsecurity, they would be working hard to slow #climate change, which hundreds of defense and intelligence agency assessments (pre-Trump) have acknowledged are actual security threats. I document them here:

This isn't getting enough attention.
The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve is at its lowest level since 1983. Why?
Trump and the GOP have been selling it off to try to keep oil prices low and artificially hide the real impact of the Iran War.

Classic Trump sleight-of-hand and misdirection.
Xi Jinping & Donald Trump agreed for China to buy 10m tonnes of US #coal in 2027 and 2028.
BUT in 2024, we exported 12m tonnes to China. When Trump put tariffs on China, they stopped buying it and it dropped to zero.
So Trump breaks something and then claims success when he seems to fix it.
And 10m tonnes is about 2% of US coal production, so this is no boost to the dying US coal industry.

This from RFKJr's CDC is the classic "burden of proof fallacy" and a gross abuse of science.
In science (and law) the burden of proof rests on the person making a positive claim ("vaccines cause autism") to provide supporting evidence, NOT the job of the opposition to disprove it.

"We finally have a comprehensive account of the building #water crisis that we've long needed, and that it comes with workable ideas for addressing it is a great bonus. Peter Gleick speaks with utter authority here." --Bill McKibben
"Few experts have done more than Peter Gleick to illuminate the critical role of water in both conflict and cooperation. He brings unmatched expertise and compelling storytelling to one of the defining challenges of our time. 'When the Well is Dry' is an essential guide to understanding how water—our most precious resource—can drive violence, inspire cooperation, and shape a more secure and peaceful future."

You know what's sad and funny at the same time? Trump just lashed out at a National Academy of Sciences #climate report but attacked the wrong one. He was probably told to attack a new report showing the strong links between human activities and climate impacts (on climate attribution) but got addled and attacked an old study on climate evidence for judges. He, and people around him, are morons. BTW, both NAS studies are excellent.
