The 'growth economy' is 100% bullshit for regular working people. The only thing growing is the rate at which the wealthy take from the rest of us. It's not 'growth,' it's fucking insatiable, uncompromising greed.

Focusing blame on anyone or anything else is counterproductive--if these corporations are not controlled, then nothing we do as individuals will have the necessary impact to limit global warming.

These people aren't complex. They want all the money. They make soldiers die to get more money. They spend billions of our tax dollars to juice up their investments in military industrial companies. They put thousands of us in private prisons that they have significant investments in. They give huge contracts to AI companies (the type of contracts that make up 50% of their revenue) they've invested in.

None of these wealthy/connected people (like Prescott Bush, a Senator with established Nazi business connections) were prosecuted for plotting a fascist takeover. Their money kept piling up; the heirs of the people and corporations involved have now succeeded in their fascist takeover.
If the United States survives this, we MUST prosecute this time. All of them. Otherwise, their heirs, like the Trump spawn, will just put the U.S. through all of this again.

Made access to education easier? Fed families? Provided anything, anything at all, to reduce the impact of poverty or neglect on children?

They're used all across the United States by courts--I'd imagine the companies make a lot of money from them as they collect payment from both the state and the person forced the wear the monitor.

ICE, unjust imprisonment, and large-scale surveillance will last for as long as they can pay for it with government contracts backed by our tax dollars and then reap profits from either ownership or significant stock investment in the companies with the billion-dollar government contracts.
These are not complex people. They are simple, and driven by a single scale of value.

Biggest repair win: An old Motorola smartphone that I managed to get LineageOS installed on, despite it not being an 'approved' phone.
The next fix: I have an old desktop that I want to try and turn into a router that blocks all adds and trackers and what not.
Device I refuse to give up on: a couple of old Android phones that I know I can use for some good purposes.
