Bad
Human being.
Small brain crowded by thoughts.
French, but I mostly post in english.

A quote I like and resonate with from the Epic of Gilgamesh (the oldest tale ever written!).
There's not many ancient representations of Siduri.
Hopefully what I drew is not too disgraceful.
Made the trolley problem more accurate to the real world / capitalism.

The human nature alibi.
AKA how I picture in my mind people whose ideological imagination is stumped by an imagined negative "human nature".
Been cooking batches of homemade fries all day (along with homemade honey mustard), to freeze them before the third heatwave of the year begins (...).
How many meals of fries in a row can you eat before you get bored of it?
Guess I'm about to find out.
Things not to do during a massive heatwave.
At least regrets is not the only thing I'm full of.
Something about propaganda and the type of people who believe they are above it.
It would only make sense to conclude my re-reading of Kropotkin's works by drawing him (bushy beards are a challenge!).
I particularly like this quote of his on the revolutionary spirit.

« All previous revolutions which have taken place up to the present have helped to perfect the state machinery, whereas it must be shattered and broken to pieces.
This conclusion is the chief and fundamental point in the Marxist theory of the state. »
I agree, Vladimir Lenin. Excellent observation.
I sure do hope you will not end up perfecting your own state machinery instead of shattering it to pieces though, that would be awkward. Good quote though.
"But who would be making medication without a profit incentive???" has to be one of the least thought-out most brainrotten takes out there.
It's not CEOs developing new medication, it's scientists, researchers, engineers, lab technicians doing the actual work.
It's not investors mass-producing medication, it's factory workers, operators, everyone across the production and logistical chain making sure those medications are manufactured and delivered.
Meanwhile CEOs, investors, shareholders do nothing but extract the profits of the workers' labor and get in the way of any innovation that doesn't meet their desired profit incentives.
Workers could still accomplish the same without CEOs or investors taking a cut. In fact, they'd do it even better in a society where research isn't slowed by restrictive intellectual property laws and patent trolling.
Capitalism has truly colonized some people's imaginations.
A cheeky dig by Kropotkin, from 1892:
« Engineers, scientists, and doctors merely exploit their capital - their diplomas - as nobles used to exploit their titles of nobility. »
:)
TIL Sumerian war carts weren't pulled by horses or donkeys but rather by kungas, a highly respected (probably) hybrid animal which does not exist anymore.
Concluding my re-reading of Lenin with a satirical comic.
To clarify, this is not criticism of revolutionary communism, but rather criticism of a specific type of revolutionary communist who believes strong party discipline is enough to magically spawn a stateless society if given enough time.
The more I read, the more I wonder how Marx's glazing of the Paris commune radical recallability of state officials was overlooked so much.
Spider… you are a good helpful friend… why don't you want to be friend shaped?
This one goes to all the unironic authoritarians and assorted slippery bootlickers (sadly way too many people).
As we are witnessing yet another round of the death spiral of imperialism, I was reminded of Césaire's concept of the "imperial boomerang": the domestic consequences of being an imperial power. So I drew him.
It's my own translation from french, hopefully I kept it close to the original.
Video of Césaire being drawn: https://youtu.be/Ykv_zJcjjK0
I try to keep my decoloniality activities separate from what I post on Mastodon usually, but these days, you know…

Have some political theory.
Social Murder & Alienation.
Not the happiest quotes, but they're building up to something. In the meantime, they're good concepts to add to your vocabulary :)
Everyone who has accused me of drawing Marx like a cute old Santa character has won, this is your moral victory over me.
Happy holidays everyone!
I wish you all a beautiful day :)
Drawing the arachno-communist.
Silly pun -> silly sketch -> silly drawing
MSPaint + mouse.
Happy new year!
What a better way to start the year than with a random smug generator (said no one ever).
The tech behind it is pretty dank, hope you enjoy!
(please be aware that my smuggies are highly satirical comics, so it might generate some extremely out there things better enjoyed from a satirical point of view)
Felt like January lasted six months but we're suddenly in December I'm confused
For people with low reading attention spans, I made a recording of my dialectical dialogue.
Guaranteed not confusing.
