mastodon 4.5.18+glitchCismale (he/they) bisexual independent game designer pika. Latino denouncer of whiteness; pale-ass in person. Savior of Vana'diel. Amor vincit omnia.
I may not be trans, but transgender-hating script kiddies are too incompetent to tell the difference.

@mayorbeetles It's kinda painful how much "IM A BAD FOR BUYING THESE BOOKS" is, in fact, reflective of the worldview expressed by Rowling in those books. It is not the actions which have the qualities of being innately good or bad; it is the people doing them. I wish it were emphasized more how backwards that is, and how "am I a good person" is in fact a grand and cosmic question quite beyond our ken.

@computer@facts.computer Because of the current stance of the Catholic Church, we may also consider a Butlerian Crusade.

@ireneista I feel similarly, but I want it to be said that there is no valor in letting yourself be burned out. What use is knowing about all the evil if it makes you too despairing to do anything about it? It is therefore necessary to find or build joy wherever you can, so you can use it as a foundation for your resistance.
It is important never to let go of your moral compass as you do so, however. Devote time to grieving. Devote time to grounding. Devote time to building, refueling, pushing.

@CosmickTrigger@social.edist.ro I would be so brazen as to say that nazis did not follow in Mr Rogers's wake despite his Christian values, but because of them.
The nazis called themselves "socialists," and that was a damned lie as well. Why do we believe them when they call themselves "Christians"?

@negative@blorbo.social Think I needed to see this. I have so much difficulty doing stuff without being explicitly told to. Currently in therapy about it.

@Caudlewag It is surprising to me how you joined after I did! Your presence is such which feels like it has been around forever, and I always appreciate it!

@typhlosion@denden.world My stance is, a bicycle helmet is a hat, while a plate helmet with visor is not. Hats are worn on the head, not on the face (nor in the head, in the case of piercings).
