the freedesktop way of doing things like "apps with icons" works pretty okay in most circumstances but turns into a nightmare vortex of obscure configuration settings the moment you try to fix a small issue you're having or change something programmatically in a slightly strange way. which i suppose makes it perfect for the linux experience

i asked this on bsky too: does touhou fan media ever feature OCs or do people mostly just stick to the canon characters? i don't think i've ever seen an explicitly noncanon touhou character out in the wild, unless it was one so popular that the fandom just accepted it as honorary canon and i didn't realize

my personal stance is:
helmets offer protection against impact to the headhats cover the top of the head but offer no such impact protection. by this definition, a helmet is not a hatvisors, tiaras, burger king crowns, and the like are not hats because they do not cover the top of the head

@leafeon@denden.world sisters-type polycultures are SO fascinating to me. they're such a different way of approaching agriculture than how we (gestures at broad western colonial hegemony) tend to think about it, i love them
