I made this! From an old scarf! It's a wheatie (microwaveable heat pad) that I can put all along my spine and tie it, or around my stomach and tie it. And I made it all myself!!!
Also my sewing machine is fixed.
I am so fucking proud of myself!

Argh my brain is so fucked up from childhood trauma.
My pain levels hit 9/10 today and I still:

Approved timesheets for my mentor.
Had a shower & cut my nails.
Washed up twice.
Did laundry & put away last lot.
Cleaned a sewing machine.
Set up my very heavy sewing machine.
Made Ragu for dinner.
Cleaned the drain.
Placed an Ocado order.
Worked on my @kbtl.bsky.social class.
And my brain is going "you're lazy and did nothing today."

You can't focus with friends in the same way you can with Forest but it does have a focus thing as has been said & a social angle too.

Well this afternoon was utterly fucking terrifying.
I was feeling real sketchy before my UC appt. Started being real dizzy and faint during it, lady doing it said she could see me going paler.
Getting out of the taxi at home my legs just stopped working and I ended up laying on the front room floor twitching and unable to move for 30+ minutes.
If I'd been on my own I dread to think how differently it would have gone.
I am so unwell I have napped.
Unheard of apart from when I had glandular fever as a teen and flu in my early 20s. I can usually barely sleep at night in optimum conditions, let alone nap.
Tested negative for COVID yesterday. Will test again this evening cos I have The Fear. But I think it's likely just a cold and my fucked body can't fight it.

Very grateful that @IvysRequiem@toot.wales is sorting some admin for me today, including fixing my error in making the delay repay claim for the absolute trashfire that was our trip to Birmingham the other weekend, and contacting my wheelchair seller to see if they will do anything about the broken wheel housing thanks to Cardiff's pavement.

@GreenRoc@mastodon.social I'm afraid there is no such thing because people's triggers are individual to them, so basically all words are a potential trigger.
My advice for content warnings is to CW stuff that is commonly a trigger and then add to that list when friends mention stuff specific to them.

@pthane@toot.wales @suearcher@toot.wales I use bicarb with boiling water. Fizzing & the heat also aids with lifting dirt off.
With pans I'll leave the bicarb on dry for a bit, then scrub it a little with the bicarb to loosen it, then add boiling water to lift the rest.
I have a #FediForumFriday follow up question about the demo that EU-Haul demo (I can't remember who did it, sorry!) and Bsky:
Can I use my bridged Bsky account (as in the one @anewsocial@mastodon.social creates when you bridge from Mastodon) and move that to an EU based Bsky server, and the bridge still work?
If no, is that in the works?

I'm more techie than the average person but still a non techy person and I really struggled to install Linux even with help from several techy people via Mastodon!
