mastodon 4.7.3
  • Open on writing.exchange

I'm a crepuscular poet who drifts between phases irregularly, carried by an unrequited romance with the Moon. If you create something that's the right shape, poetry may fall out of me.

In reality I'm a British European in southern England who marinaded in Scotland and the Westcountry.

Follow requests are welcome.

I will gladly accept more poetry.

If you're tooting from #Mastodon and you include a link it'll always count as 23 characters regardless of length, so there's no need to use link shorteners here. The Fedi tends to attract people who are privacy-conscious and many of us won't click these types of links - we don't know where they're going, who's control they're under and what tracking goes into them. From the horse's mouth, it's sometimes a lot: https://bitly.com/blog/tracking-link/ #FediTips

After gross transphobe graham lineham assaulted Sophia and in the process, broke her phone, it has been ruled there was not enough evidence to retain his conviction that he did so.

"Sophia Brooks respects the legal process. She would like to thank the Crown Prosecution Service and notes the ruling of Mrs Justice Tipples and the lay magistrates."

May we all have the moral fortitude that she shows in such a statement.

@amostart There is some sort of strong vibe coming from a screech owl making a little home in a prickly plant, with an opening just large enough to peek from. Keeping at bay the searing, truculent outside world but still being able to observe it from a safe distance.

@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social Enemies will also tend to go through gaps in a wall, so you can design walls in such a way that attracts them into areas where you have the advantage - barricades set-up a good distance so you can get shots on them and have melee people hiding close by, who can swoop in when the time is right.

@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social If you have furniture outside that can attract them (e.g. a seating area), place them in positions that are both useful to you, and in the path that enemies might take. The time they spend kicking the crap out of your stools is time you have to prepare. If there are specific routes that pawns like to walk then build cover in areas that can target them. Buy, tame and train animals as they'll help slow down and injure enemies. Areas with straw matting and incendiary traps are Fun.

@LeonianUniverse@caneandable.social hopefully this info dump helps: take advantage of the terrain where possible. If you have water, sand, marsh etc., enemies will consider it an expensive path. They'll also path as close to corners as they can, so traps here are very effective. They'll attack accessible tech like coolers, so recess them and put a trap in front of them.
