Also being discussed in-depth here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BandCamp/comments/1uj68me/bandcamp_has_laid_off_most_engineers/ As a musician, I've been updating artist profiles on different things since 2005 and went all in on SoundCloud around 2013 because I still hadn't learned my lesson from MySpace. It seems like we're always starting again but I really think federated/interoperable services and own websites (with a mailing list) are the way forward. #Bandcamp #Music #Musicians

Finally finished this earlier. Everyone interested in making, sustaining and listening to music should read it (and I could’ve read a whole book based around the last chapter and the archivist element to documenting local music scenes).

@kidlightbulbs@musicworld.social Not sure how to remedy this, but my partner's project (@deeeyewhy) doesn't come up in search and finding the release on Bandcamp is complicated as it's listed on my page for ease of updating. 😬 Is there a way I can create an artist page from scratch? Thanks!

Will the newsletter have silly retro food links? What about disturbing animations that look like a nightmare you had as a kid? Probably, but best visit the link below to be sure. 👀

@7sleepersmusic Mine was from Rough Trade after a friend bought me a birthday voucher. There was a delay with the crisp book being released and when I phoned their warehouse to ask a question about the order, the guy on the phone was so taken with it, he said he was going to order himself a copy too. 🙃

@7sleepersmusic My brother's in the US (also a big Quavers fan - remember the Colin the dog mascot?) and he gets my mum to ship him UK crisps that he misses (often with the parcel being dearer than its contents). I feel like there should be snack penpals or something. 📦

@kidlightbulbs No probs! I remember this topic popping up somewhere ages ago, possibly on Social Music Network (and have thought about changing my own support page to a label club split between a few folks in the future), so it’s cool to see a project like this happening!
