kinda wanted to make a bird dnd character but then social anxiety happened, so i will never play them.
still i like the concept though i doubt i have the spoons to play a wizard anyways.
also didn't want to separate the sketches so ye.. have a disorganized layout u_u

i ... i gave up on the hair.
this was an experiment of trying to keep the foreground mostly colorless with the colors in the background.
the sketch was done with grey fineliner and markers, then it got a green watercolor wash (i originally just wanted to test how waterproof my greys are), then added colors with color pencils and gave some finishing white lines with a pastel pencil. =w=

but progress the circle dish leafy part will be a light green/teal.
thinking of going over the legs with brown shoe polish to achieve a fake wood look. not sure yet. also i only used this technique on clay before. :blobfoxthink:

it helps.
cutting on a tinted lino block is VERY satisfying.
i recommend.
also bought some linocut plates. they were on sale and i couldn't resist.
but now i have an artist block when it comes to motives

i feel like the person who sold me my paints did not do a good job. not only do i have too much paint, the brush sold with it is way too harsh.
also they said "no you can't use acrylic paint for that unless it's gold" but the legs are also painted in acryl??? i feel they just used my "beginner" status to sell me expensive stuff. >_>
