@DJDarren@mendeddrum.org not helpful, but i also suck at long term dates. i use my calendar app on my phone. i set the date, then i set reminders at different intervals depending on how much lead time i need on the thing. ex. finish something at work, remind 1 week before, remind 2 weeks before, etc. update a server, remind 4 hours before, etc.

"considered" by whom? some countries have live webpages showing the output of the country's energy usage/production. it's sunny all the gosh darned time in Tainan and down south. why isn't it mandatory to put solar on every roof? South Korea just made a rule last year that every single outside parking lot with more than 80 spots has to install solar, not just for new ones either. have to add to existing one. taiwan needs to get its butt into gear. cool we have semi conductors, but this we need energy independence. i wonder if it's because of TSMC that we can't get our % of renewable usage higher? they require steady power and keep expanding. this shows that taiwan generated only 9.5% of power by renewables in 2023. https://www.moeaea.gov.tw/ECW_WEBPAGE/FlipBook/2023EnergyStaHandBook/index.html#p=73 the article about the UK shows they used at leat 50% renewable energy for the past 15 months. taiwan is lagging behind. i  think Taiwan could do much better. energy security should be a national security priority.

how do you guys deal with smart tvs? i don't like them. i don't want to use their built in apps or let them connect to the internet... but....i need to have netflix, jellyfin, and hbo max working. what do you guys do? connect a mini SBC to the back of your TV? i'm moving to another apartment and need to buy a new tv soon, this is why i'm thinking about this.

What do y'all think about seafile as nextcloud replacement? With my no IP address issue, that's the only app I'm missing. I don't use all the fancy features of nextcloud like talk. I mostly use it to sync files between my laptops. I see that seafile has an android app which is helpful. I could use syncthing as well. Hmm...
