After the maintainer's first comments this reaction is probably no surprise.

Two Normies (non-tech folks "what is Linux?") standing next to my desk at the office "HIS LOCKSCREEN IS INSANE I've NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT"
Me "its just blurred when locked..."
normies "NO I MEAN WHEN YOU TYPE YOUR PASSWORD WTF IS THAT"
Me "???"
Normies "THAT THING THAT REACTS AND SPINS"
Me "??? what are you talking about? 😅"
I type my password to unlock the system. Swaylock does swaylock things.
Normies "O M G THAT IS SO COOL!!!"
LMAO of all the things on linux, default animation setting of swaylock on manjaro-sway, seems to be what blows normie-folks minds 😂
#Wayland #sway #swaylock #linux
Name a #VPN provider that is both secure AND ethical 😭🫠
Pro tip: its neither #protonvpn nor #mullvad
I'm still looking for the answer 😕
Signal needs a "poke this user" button. what it does: it sends an SMS to the person with a random emoji TO MAKE THEM REMEMBER THAT SIGNAL EXISTS AND THAT THEY SHOULD CHECK THE MESSAGES WAITING FOR THEM >____>
/s
Replying to
@portaloffreedom@social.linux.pizza it has an extra layer of security due to the circular shape /s 😂

@f00P@mastodon.social an expected reaction by Omarchy users 🤣 "holy shit things are possible????"
First world problems: how to donate to #signal and have the badge on my profile (which requires Signal app), BUT use the #Molly app instead? 😆😆😆
I just now noticed that my Signal donations stopped at some point last year after I had switched to Molly 🙈 I didn't notice before because the Molly app shows the badge for me but others don't see the badge. It is like a leftover 😄
PS: molly ftw #UnifiedPush ✊🏽
I just now replaced #OrganicMaps with #CoMaps
I exported all the bookmark-lists as .kmz files and opened each one of them with CoMaps. No issues, all the bookmarks are there. Then I enabled automatic backups, weekly, keeping 3 versions 👌🏽
This was very smooth 😄

@tootbrute@fedi.arkadi.one I will never connect a TV to the web. It can then be managed from outside through updates etc. I don't want my TVs behaviour to change or performance to degrade by bloatware.
I'd just get some extra device for those apps. Right now I'm using an old fire TV stick but it is also very annoying with its auto-updates which can interrupt playback. And when it isn't doing that, it shows popup notifications about updates available which is just as intrusive. Most of the time it does what it is supposed to but I get furious in those moments when it behaves intrusive. So I will replace it at some point.
I'm thinking about a Raspberry Pi down the road but I only use Jellyfin so I don't know about commercial streaming providers in your case.
But maybe AndroidTV as OS on the Pi could handle Netflix and co? 🤔

@qwertviop@chaos.social i'm thinking about allocating workspaces to the F keys. Right now I have apps bound to F keys but I could relocate them to special characters 🤔

What is Easter about again 🤔
Weekend to do's:
- Help someone with setting up their first password manager ever & Nextcloud & Mastodon 🤓
- see Hällas live 🤘🏽🤩
- order overpriced NAS hardware components 💀
- practice 🎸😎
- finish at least 1 software project that is sitting at 90% 😅
latest Carpenter Brut album made me do a new speedrun on the #bandcamp purchasing process, after checking out a few tracks on yt. "shut up and take my money" 🤣
their 2026 album "leather temple" is just way too good. one banger track after another 👌🏽

New quest received: migrate mail, password manager and VPN
It's not difficult, it just requires time 😑

@fe@social.linux.pizza ah, we are in the same boat then 😄 I was happy with vim and only switched because of native LSP.
I'll go slow with choosing the next path. An nvim community fork would be the easiest way.

since shipping is 18.90€ it would be really cool if multiple vouchers would work in one order. (per phone, one voucher)
Is it somehow possible??

in recent months I keep feeling the urge that I need more workspaces and that 10 are not enough.
Of-course I am not limited to 10, but 10 are easy to access through mod+ 🤔

Any lightweight app where I can download maps from open street maps, put markers for myself (basically bookmarks) AND automatically back them up or sync them to some place remote?
#OrganicMaps only allows manual backups it seems 🤔
I think upgrading nvim yesterday created some problems 😆😆

@tootbrute@fedi.arkadi.one i set up a pi with libre elec for my parents which connects to my jellyfin. Libre elec uses kodi. Its a solid setup. However I don't know about commercial apps.
If I would do it for myself, I'd probably try android TV first because the jellyfin app for android TV is visually more pleasing to me than kodi (but I'm also not someone who has spent much time with tweaking / customizing kodi... Maybe it can also look nice 😆)

@ludwigseibt@mstdn.social this looks perfect. Basically OrganicMaps but with more features from what it looks like at first glance
movies can't be found by their sorting title, is it? or is there some work around for this?
today I'll probably listen to the #Euphoria OST all day in loop 😊 why is this one of the best shows of all time? 🥹
I'm only 2 episodes into S3 and so far I don't mind any of the changes in direction. I actually find it refreshing and very entertaining!
Also I finished a rewatch of S1 and S2 over the last couple of weeks... by now I've seen S1 three times! It is just soooooooooooooo gooooooooooood 😭 I'll probably be rewatching this every other year for the rest of my life because the cinematography is just maxxed out. Watching the scenes unfold is just pure bliss. And don't get me started on the character writing. I love each and every character on this show! (that includes Nate 🙈)
omg its #bandcampfriday 🤩 I missed the last one, definitely have to grab something today
