I just can't believe that developers and users of "AI" meeting transcription tools think it's OK to have such plugins being launched into a meeting by one person without having prior approval from other participants or the organisers. And then put the responsibility on other attendees to opt out from it.
It's absolutely wild to me.

Happy #olympicGames everyone. It's 2026 and we're still kicking First Nations people off their land. History repeating to build a stadium we don't need. For a two-week event in 2032.
Fuck the Olympic Games, fuck Queensland Police, fuck the Queensland Government, fuck BCC and fuck GIICA.

@Jeroen89 I looked at the image without reading the text and at first understood it as "this is what regeneration can look like", with baseline at the top and what could be in a few decades at the bottom.

@teledyn@mstdn.ca ugh I just went down a rabbithole because I'm avoiding doing what I'm supposed to do and apparently that text was originally posted by Guri Singh on X, but the account was suspended: https://x.com/heygurisingh/status/2059251382960734593
And the reason it was suspended... was undisclosed AI use on that post, according to this: https://piunikaweb.com/2026/05/28/x-suspend-accounts-ai-replies/
Which was based on Pangram considering it AI-generated. AI-detection is shoddy, but I can see why people suspected it. It's just a classic 2026 AI mess, really.
Replying to
@teledyn@mstdn.ca Anyway, I really need to actually read Timnit et al.'s paper because it's obviously important and relevant and I love what DAIR is doing. It's just funny/horrifying how much of an entangled AI mess the Internet is becoming, where some AI critique is itself AI-generated for cheap clout (because it is justifiably popular) and detected (or not) by more AI-based tools. Blergh.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu that's great. Now make sure it's varied, local species, planned to reverse fragmentation of habitat, and increases the vegetated area, preferably taking space away from car infrastructure. But also: ratchet up environmental protections instead of weakening them for wasteful, destructive, extractivist tech infrastructure.

Here is what councillor Seal Chong Wah wrote about it all back in February:
https://www.sealchongwah.com/council_loses_vic_park
"For thousands of years before European settlement, Barrambin was home to the largest and longest used First Nations camps in Brisbane, with up to 1,000 people living here at different times of the year, their camps positioned along ridges above waterholes where the breezes carried stories and songs. [...] Some of the trees remaining on this site are between 200 and 700 years."

@nuwagaba2@mastodon.social that's so kind of you to offer that! Unfortunately, I don't think I'll find time at the moment to organise that, and also I don't want to give you too much extra work, you're busy enough! It's great to see photos, but I just thought a quick video to give a panoramic view of the place with some comments would be nice for all the followers to get a better sense of what the place looks like 😃
I didn't realise the land you purchased was separate to the gardens you've showed us before.

"Be interesting to see if the content surpasses that on a human"
How do you measure that AI-generated material "surpasses" it's meatspace counterpart? When it has all been trained on things created by humans? When does it go beyond jack-of-all-trades mimicry? Honest question.
And by using "imagined with AI", do you mean to say you see in AI tools and their associated LLMs the ability to imagine things just like humans would?
