@oxy@social.bsdlab.au the way our assessment tool is structured you are kind of forced into doing the day in sections: CPR, medical conditions, trauma, environmental hazards. Otherwise completing the theory assessment would be a shitshow.

the problem with watching TOS is it makes SNW continuity weird and I get why they had to do it otherwise SNW would be too constrained. I just hope they don't do an "and then all their memories got wiped" SNW story to try and save TOS canon. #KelsTrek

tell me what you think about this idea: full day (7.5hr) face to face first aid is hard going for everyone. By the time we hit the 'environmental hazards' section (the last part of the day) everyone is a bit done. Usually I end the day with a recommendation to download and use the Emergency Plus app, and the Australian Bites and Stings app. I'm thinking that rather than me describe he various creatures that can bite and sting, the signs/symptoms and treatments, I could start this section with the B&S app, give groups of 3-4 people a card with a creature on it and have them research the info using the app and present it to the group. Then I can answer questions, tidy up any gaps etc...
