Just watched a scientific video explaining that having index and ring fingers of equal length on the left hand is typical for straight women and gay men. While straight men and lesbian women have a ring finger that's longer than the index finger.
Mine are roughly equal in length. I've never seen insulted like that by science
If you are as sceptical as I am: there are scientific longitudinal studies on larger populations and a process explaining why it seems to be like that.

TIL that the reason for circumcision in the US isn't religion or hygiene.
In the 1940ties and 1950ties there were doctors who thought removing the foreskin makes young men wank themselves off less.
So … fuck the American purity bullshit.

Tesla drivers have taken over the max small dick energy reputation from BMW drivers.
Speed limits? Stonk!
Right of way? Stonk!
Taking more than one parking lot because why not, the ego needs it.
On top of that giving money to a guy who is deeply misogynistic and transphobic and wants to see the world burn.
And no, they did not buy the car before he got "crazy". He was a terrible person for decades and it was widely known.

Well, well … seems like I have children. I would say I didn’t know, but obviously I posted about family life on LinkedIn and parenting on my transition blog.
Spoiler: The LinkedIn post is about hiring and the transition post about adventures in cis-land

Getting an offer for a role (director of engineering) where the headhunter really has read my CV on LinkedIn and obviously also looked into my slide decks and explains to me why he asks me based on what I did and how I work.
This is impressive! And flattering.

Went to the university's central student's office to ask a question about the paperwork my niece handed in for her application.
They didn't know but sent us to the international office at the "Super-C". Had a short odyssey through several offices and finally landed directly at the admission office.
She wasn't completely sure but said: "But I can grant you admission to the place. You'll get an email with a link to accept the admission."
If you didn't get what she did there in passing by: she accepted my niece at the university 🥳🎉🚀
This is the Super-C, by the way:

Watched a documentary about a femme lesbian complaining, how she is overlook in the community: „I sometimes think about presenting more the way people think what a lesbian should look like.“
Looked at her Instagram account. Now since 2 years she presents like a lesbian insurance broker.
Short bleached hair, glued back with gel. Only white men’s shirts, black trousers and having this aggressive „yeah, I’m a bad bitch“ look.
Girl … what terrible thing happened to you?
Actually I stopped and did not finish the documentary. Not interested anymore.

The next appointment with my gynecologist is going to be … interesting.
- She declined prescribing progesterone, because I took cyproterone acetate and "that's a progestin precursor, that's enough“. Now I do not take that anymore. let's see if she finds another hurdle.
- I will ask her to get injections instead of gel. Let's see what she thinks about that. In general everything else than gel is denied in Germany.
- We migth get into a lively discussion about blood levels, if she insists on mimicking the levels of a woman my age aka in menopause.

This evening for the opening of the 2nd Aachen Film Festival we're going to see „Jim Queen“ and I already know it's going to be hilarious.
I saw some scenes from the German dubbed version. Some quite famous German Drag Queens were hired for the dubbing, including Rachel Intervention.
But I think we will see the French original with German subtitles.
Time to brush up my gay French

@thejessiekirk@ohai.social Yes! I'm a big fan of Angela Lansbury. I later learned about some of her other films.
And I bought "Bedknobs from Broomsticks", a hilarious and very British comedy movie from 1971, where she plays a young British woman during WWII. She has to make a living and decides she always wanted to be a witch.
So she orders a course she found in the classified ads of the newspaper that claims to be able to teach its subscribers how to spell magic.
All her friends think she's bonkers to fall for such an obvious fraud. Surprisingly it works. Even the editor of the course is 'surprised'.

@IngaLovinde@embracing.space I've never heard of anyone getting it prescribed.
It's mostly gel (Gynokadin and sometimes Estreva) or transdermal patches.
Injections are possible, but there's only a handful of pharmacies offering vials or pre-filled disposable syringes. And only with enantate. No other estradiol ester has a certification in Germany.

@alice@lgbtqia.space @veronica@explains.social I tried it myself, because I didn't think it was *that* bad. But actually the autoconfabulator suggests that I have kids and that I wrote about balancing job and family on LinkedIn (it's a post about hiring) and about parenting in a post about adventures with cis people on my transition blog.
To a later question if I'm 8' tall the answer was that I'm of normal human height, but that my remark that I like to stick out led to a well known meme about me being that tall.
It's sad, but I laughed for 5 minutes.

@peachfiend@mastodon.sdf.org He, yes. I once did one of these funny online tests.
Then I told my oldest cishet female friend "look, I got 100% lesbian!!" and her answer was: "Eh, what else did you expect?"
It's not completely correct as I am some sort of pan, sometimes called "flixisexual" (microlabel for attraction to feminity and androgyny explicitly excluding masculine presentation).

One of my absolute favorite pieces as a person with a harpsichord special interest is Antonio Soler's Fandango.
It's a piece to show off. And torment harpsichordists. Full of acrobatic fingering. And absolutely no repeating parts. Depending on how fast you play it it’s a 9 to 12 minute piece. With no repetitions! That means you have a hell of a score on your desk.
This is my favorite performance. Monika Forys masters this piece with grace and accuracy. And her partner Tomas Celis Sanchez is … incredible. His stern way through all the piece!!
From the close-ups you can learn a lot about fingering
