Edit 4 years later: Maybe I do not like to travel. I would never set foot in most countries, because I don't like the climate, or the social climate. I just like to be in places which are not too hot and not too fascist. Additionally I want out of IT. The entire sector deserves to drown in slop because it doesn't appreciate humans.

This is very random but please boost: Can someone in Bodø lend me a handle to change the direction of opening the window? Where I am staying the window only tilts a bit, it is way too hot and I need fresh air. The receptionist told me that they are not allowed to give me the handle despite there being no children and no drunk people in the room. I already travel with a Swiss Army knife to unscrew some types of window limiters (yes I do screw them back in before leaving) but do not have the thing used here (a square prism rod perhaps 6mm wide).

Tapping the sign does not help, and I did not want to make the guy working on his laptop next to me get up just to let me go remind them where they are sitting. So I waited until I needed the bathroom and then also went to the bistro. On the way to the bistro I reminded the younger guy that this is quiet coach, in English, he said ok. When returning, like 15 min later they were still talking. I pointed at the sign. The older guy said "Ja, wir reden trotzdem" 😞
Remind me, what kind of a person believes that the rules do not apply to them?

When all of this is over, I want all the companies that allowed (or, worse yet, pushed) slop liquidated, and all their property given to the people, not the state, the people! We can do this! We can fucking do this!

I hate them because I do the work for free, I often still have to wait for the employee to enter that code or, if I buy a potted plant (with a barcode mind you), I have to cancel everything and use a regular till 😩
Regarding job losses, nobody dies for lack of jobs, people die for lack of means, and dignified life must stop being contingent on (paid or otherwise) work!!!
