I’m building a new PHP cms as an alternative to WordPress. But a decent one, I hope. Fully committed to this outside of work time. Working title: “Release”. Aiming for v1 release on January 1st 2027, or sooner.
I don't care for commercial "ai" in the slightest.

If so, then he didn’t even build this silly Dohmarchy thing. He paid another company (anthropic or whoever) to build it for him.

That local storage mount is a fuse mount using an s3 compatible bucket as storage. $5 per month per 250gb. Closest I’ve got to good value.
I don’t have a clue about what php attributes are or what they do. I should maybe read up on that?

Personal websites are beautiful islands in a vast ocean of ever-increasing gen-ai slop.
There’s something in me wanting to write some kind of talk about the personal web and personal websites as well as the bullshit of ai.
I’ve never given a talk and have no idea where I’d submit such a talk.
What’s all this about Linux kernel and ai? Is it a case of staying in a specific version before ai code introduced? Or is that a silly idea? I dare say that wouldn’t be possible realistically

In the spirit of the "small web" I want to move off of wordpress for my website.
But I've so many posts and media and migrations have never been a straight forward thing when Ive attempted in the past.
Ive not much time at the moment but would love to move to a website system more inline with my own beliefs :(
