Ik denk dat de arme man had gedacht dat er hoogstens een paar teamgenoten of iemand van AWS op zou reageren, misschien nog iemand van Microsoft? Maar in plaats daarvan kwamen @bert_hubert@eupolicy.social, @queen_fennec@mas.to en anderen even hun zegje doen, en daarna ging het hard.

1) turn on Copilot by default in all Office365 apps, integrating access to all business data of its users.
2) Copilot suggests email responses based on this
3) managers seamlessly integrate Copilot into their workflow, without ever deciding to
4) since everyone's LLM is different, the managers will be unable to leave Azure/Windows
5) increase the price! Locked-in companies ftw

But given that the previous two world cups took place in Qatar and Russia, and the 2030 will be on three continents to make sure that 2034 will can be in Saudi, I don't really expect sensible justifications from the sports body that makes the IOC look clean.

We know that the law provides reasonable, though not complete, protections. The urgency of the current debate arises from a US government that seems very willing to ignore the law, both domestic and international.

This is to be expected, and explains why Copilot and Kiro are being pushed on Azure and AWS customers with extreme force: if you can get people used to the flavor of your LLM, they might never want to leave anymore, because they'll talk to their LLM more than to any human probably.

@Marloezovic@mastodon.nl Iran heeft grotendeels zijn eigen internet, gedeeltelijk bewust voor controle, gedeeltelijk uit noodzaak door sancties. Dus ze weten daar beter dan de meeste landen hoe cruciaal data centers zijn, en hebben er ook meer verstand van vermoedelijk.

In some places the more vocal supporters are senior and the critics skew younger... seniors can use a tool that poorly replicates what they've done a thousand times... juniors feel lost and abandoned.

I think the goal is actually that as many users as possible will use federated login with Google/Meta/etc, because logging in with a specific user for a site is made intentionally difficult. Your automatic Google login is probably linked to a Gmail that you actually read, while if your create a new account you might be smart enough to use an alias or a secondary email address.
And once you've done that and your Google is always signed in the process is smooth.
