@Zdavidb@mastodon.online @delta@chaos.social @Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net @Tutanota@mastodon.social you can take a look at @aliasvault@mastodon.social for 1password replacement, hosted in EU, and have the same feature.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social For signal ? no thanks prefer @delta@chaos.social i won't use a bunch of liar like signal

@riaschissl@sigmoid.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social no it's a religion, those CEO really think it working they "trust blindly like in a religion". It's like homeopaty, every single scientifique who is not a liar know it don't work. Yet it's one of the most successfull fake madecine. AI it's the same but you replace mama janine by CEO, and the scientist by Computer scientist.

@pjs@c.im @Tutanota@mastodon.social @delta@chaos.social they lied on the fact it was "impossible" to use anything else as server than amazon, google, microsoft etc because they need a ultra low lattency of the wold app would not work. in the meantime dozen of other chat project do what they deemed impossible, and they closed off the discussion. If they lie about something as armless as the position of the server i won't trust them for ANYTHING more related to security than this.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social i used AI once for a personal project. After 10 day of debuggin i trashed the thing a redo it myself ... in 3 day without a single bug.

@nicosomb@piaille.fr oui des gens de ma famille font ca ils lisent les titre "putaclic" puis invente le contenu de l'article eux meme ...

@dheadshot@mastodon.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social exactly.

@gamingonlinux@mastodon.social what is annoying as hell it's hard to know if you are fixed or not. Copy fail they mention a freacking commit number (people not well versed on git will never know if they are fixed or not). And many tool (cachyos for instance) have little to no security page to even know what CVE is fixed or not. Linux need to do better on this point.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social @bitwarden@fosstodon.org hosted on Microslop server so no thanks. Prefer use something in eu like @aliasvault@mastodon.social

@asterisk@social.linux.pizza @nixCraft@mastodon.social no because you need to be "licensed" by google to have access to their crap of device atestation, so no if you have a degoogled OS it will not work.

@Rhababerbarbar@tux.social like again, my goal is to fix an issue in MY workflow, i do have cited the "issue" that are already written in an orrange banner in the app. So if a newbie did it and broken something ... it's on him because both warning where clear.

@evacide@hachyderm.io yeah i've seen many IT guy swearing they would block TOR and VPN failed. I don't even understand why those old Fart that vote this crap think they can win what China and Russia fail to block for YEARS (if not decade).

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social i complained on many official service they ignore it, the ombudsman was called and they seem to ignore it too. they all aswer the bullshit that you are labelled insecure by official tool, because google tool automatically mark non licensed OS as insecure regardless of their actual security.

@k@layer8.space @kde@floss.social I could but matrix is broken and the same bug always happen, i moved on and will not use it anymore, but thanks for the recomendation tough

@nextcloud@mastodon.xyz it's not digital "autonomy" if you are dependent on github.

@enthusiast101@ieji.de @eu_os@eupolicy.social still don't change the fact it run on US infrastructure, when you SELL sovereinty is go AGAINST your goal So yeah complete waste of money

@kde@floss.social Do you think one day you can add a settings in discover to "only show app" meaning disabling / install / update / delete feature for one source, and only "list" them ? i use cachyos and very often use discover as way to search app in GUI, but due to incomplete support of pacman (as shown in the app) having this safetynet to prevent interaction could be cool. Thanks for all your work :)

@simon_brooke@mastodon.scot @nixCraft@mastodon.social Legally EU see this as illegal. In practice the stupid morron at the head of our institution don't see why it's dangerous becaus it does not touch them.

@warandpeas@mastodon.social 😂

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @gnemmi@mastodon.sdf.org yeah you old them accountable, by letting google take the control of the web with their last reCAPTCHA bullshit, and do nothing against their android lock down. they have bough you traitor

@mahmoudajawad@mastodon.online @downey@floss.social @fdroidorg@floss.social why not change the settings label to "allow unstable build", since the "beta" flag actually allow all non stable build ?

@monocles@monocles.social @ismondo@mastodon.uy @Tutanota@mastodon.social @xmpp@fosstodon.org not fonna use it anyway "most of them" are secure is not enough so in the "insecure" category for me

@nextcloud@mastodon.xyz sure, hope you finally announce the removal of Github for update and app installation (and in insist on update and installation i do not talk about your developement pipeline) i talk about the github connection required to install some app, and to effectively download an update of the nextcloud itself.

@internetarchive@mastodon.archive.org @brewsterkahle@mastodon.archive.org It seem that many website also have protection against you in fear of "using you to bypass their paywall" cannot you have a "deal" with them that delay any archive from them behing published 6 month ? So they have their "loophole" closed, but you still have the archive ?

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social if it was about security this system would be more close to Https certificate (not identique of course for obvious techical reason) than what google make now (with themselve as sole capable certificate controler).

@Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net @protonprivacy@mastodon.social you are part of big tech since you use their server to run ...

@aprilfoo@piaille.fr @riaschissl@sigmoid.social @nixCraft@mastodon.social no it's not it's a scam that cost life of people who use that crap instead of real medication

@Goodlucksil@social.tchncs.de @eu_os@eupolicy.social and they don't do it becauuuse ? Because they are useless, a "sovereign" project, that DEPEND on US server is useless and they do nothing to fix it. They only a waste of money as after so much time they still did nothing to enhance sovereinty.

@enthusiast101@ieji.de @eu_os@eupolicy.social and it's why i find EU os useless, because instead of doing just that (a sort of mirror) they just want to use it. So for a thing that sell itself as sovereign not using an EU version of flatpak is hypocritical

@eu_os@eupolicy.social EU OS is bullshit as flatpak RUN ON US SERVER, so they are completly useless, and waste of money like always.

@Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net no i did not, as i will not use an US browser (you use US service for ALL call as such you are US in regard to the cloud act and the third party doctrine of US).

@zazen@ieji.de @wod0bow@mastodon.social @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social in short the update broke thing so graphene cancelled the update for those device, but proceeded to other since a banking app bug fix was in it, now it's the second update that try to fix the issue, pixel 9a and 8a will receive the update once this pesky bug is fixed.

@eu_os@eupolicy.social @enthusiast101@ieji.de @LibreKitsune@mastodon.social why i don't start ? because it does not exist, all i see from euos is talk and some unusable in prod POC an no real tool alrady online here i do not attack the believe, i simply say you DO NOT propose viable alternative yet, so stop acting like you do. IF you do something sovereign, i might change my mind, but today only talk and unusable POC is the result of your project.

@ismondo@mastodon.uy @Tutanota@mastodon.social @xmpp@fosstodon.org @monocles@monocles.social xmpp is not encrypted by default if i'm not wrong ?

@kde@floss.social @sovtechfund@mastodon.social hope you invest in EU infrastructure and not use it like other to pay up more US hyperscaler (i know you already use EU server i just hope more of them and no Fastly / other non EU cdn (for eu user of course).

@pjs@c.im @Tutanota@mastodon.social @delta@chaos.social Evey dingle work in this is a lie Because the lack of alternative is a lie, because the need for them is a lie. Delta do what she deem "impossible" as such it's a lie and i don't trust LIAR

@Vivaldi@social.vivaldi.net When will you finally host and share your services trough EU server / CDN ? Instead of Hyperscaller and other monopolistic US owned server / CDN ? (a server in EU owned from US company is de facto US server per Cloud act).

@LibreKitsune@mastodon.social @Goodlucksil@social.tchncs.de @eu_os@eupolicy.social again, for me a good enough for sovereinty is not acceptable ... when it come from someone who ARE selling sovereinty. It's like saying, this plate only have 20% meat in it ... to a vegetarian shop ...

@GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social care to comment @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu @hpod16@eupolicy.social i increasily grew annoyed with the EU a** licking of Google and Apple...

@fdroidorg@floss.social i don't know if i'm alone, but is it possible for the app to stop automatically add new mirror, (or at least maintain them disabled ? I select one in the EU, yet sadly i often see new mirror enabled by default, making the app violate my explicit intent of selecting a specific mirror. Thanks in advance for any tips if i missed a settings to allow this.

@delta@chaos.social There is two thing i still find annoying, it's the fact we still cannot hide the "menu" toolbar on desktop version (linux). And a quite "difficult" documentation for hosting a relay, i hosted many service over the years, but the documentation of delta relay made me scratch my head, and where i had to reread multiple time the doc (it touch of smtp etc so it's "logic" but having an easier documentation would be welcome for this purpose 👍

@eu_os@eupolicy.social @LibreKitsune@mastodon.social @Goodlucksil@social.tchncs.de why would i lose my time on something i think will never bear anything ?

@cbouvat@mastodon.social si seulement l'europe armonisait les report de numéro, qu'on puisse avoir une database centralisée pour tous les pays europeen.

@nextcloud@mastodon.xyz Thanks for the answer but i did not talk about contribution and developement, but update and extension installation. as both REQUIRE github, and imposing github to your client infrastructure is not "sovereignty" friendly, even when you can technically "host" those download elsewhere while using github for the contribution?

@kde@floss.social @k@layer8.space no i mean the maxtrix protocol itself not you specifically, matrix protocol have many known privacy and security flaws all over it. and it does not even take into account the infamous key error that happen time to time.

@eu_os@eupolicy.social @enthusiast101@ieji.de @LibreKitsune@mastodon.social i don't care what "eu procurement say" sovereinty also have only 1 definition "Sovereignty can describe the power of one state or thing over another or the freedom a state or thing has to control itself." So having something sovereign, that can be controlled by another state is NOT sovereign and no amount of BS will change this
