Full page of cute lil apprentices! Drawing them one at a time may not have not the best for composition, but it did split the work into manageable daily chunks.
Inked with Pilot Hi-tecpoint V5, edited with Snapseed and Sketchbook Pro on the phone.

@leaverou That's a starling, not a crow, but very cool nonetheless! Magpies also have pretty iridescent green-black feathers, while crows and ravens seem inky black - would love to see a bird's eye version of a raven.

Daily doodle 96. We don't actually have blooms yet up here, I've been enjoying some #bloomscrolling for inspiration, but the wood pigeons are busy as ever.

Good news: Most of them still work. The dark blue one is dried up, I've probably accidentally left the cap slightly cracked when initially testing them; all the others started with minimal shaking and warm-up.
They feel very pleasant to write with, and I'm definitely gonna try inking some art with them.

Very good read about UBI, creativity and a pair of space-time voyagers playing math rock.
"We are all born different. Every human is a unique instrument with its own weird little tuning. UBI is the thing that lets us actually find out what we sound like together — lets the microtones between us ring out instead of getting tuned away."

@datenwolf @leaverou The OP added the "starlings and similar" after I corrected them.
That is very pretty indeed, lovely purples and greens :) But I still wonder if they have any hidden ultraviolet patterning like the graphic seems to suggest...

@inarticulatequilter as funny as it is seeing mutant scissors, this sucks on so many levels. I'm lately doing image searches from before year 2023 and borrowing books & magazines from the library, the local magazines should have at least some standards if they want to keep their subscribers...

@tarmot I have too many thoughts about the historical & cultural nuances of lace & lacemaking... Yes it's something our grannies and great grannies did, I make & wear lace myself occasionally, and I'd love some sensual lingerie that's made of something else than the scratchy polyester waste of today...

@furicle@mastodon.social That's very true haha, I regularly come across some very specific technical niches even without looking here!
Which badly auto-transcribed #Blender version are you? I'm feeling pretty leller today
