I've been meaning to watch Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for a while and have decided to give it a try. I love the books and movies, and this just feels... Empty. I just found myself using it as background noise instead of giving a crap as to what was happening. This is fan fiction at best. I'm sorry, this is one middle earth adventure I won't be keeping up with.

@rl_dane Solid points. It is always good to bring up something like digital privacy/agency, but don't force the issue if the person doesn't care. Case in point, my wife has zero issues with using Facebook and doesn't care about corporate entities spying on her every digital move. When I try to nudge her into the direction of more privacy conscious things, she just gets annoyed, and I drop it.
