I'm a developer who likes to work with many a language but mostly #Golang, #PHP and #Typescript.

I love #OpenSource, my GitHub is full of open source projects big and small.

I'm a fan of #3DPrinting and #SailfishOS.

@rubdos@mastodon.social @ilpianista@functional.cafe Yep, my previous comment about using official libraries aged like fine milk. Anyway, not as serious as it might seem, see my analysis for BitSailor users: https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/bitsailor-support-thread/15074/94 Edit: On the flip side, it got me to consider implementing rbw at a speedier rate.

BitSailor support thread

Uff, got me scared for a while. No passwords were compromised as part of this, the attack was targeting stealing credentials from your env, not your Bitwarden passwords. Mostly dangerous on developer machines, but if you have some secret tokens stored in your env or something and had the infected version installed, you should rotate all secrets available on your phone in plaintext. The update was live between 21:57 and 23:30 PM UTC on April 22, 2026, so unless you updated your BW CLI at that t

Replying to
@ilpianista@functional.cafe @rubdos@mastodon.social The whole point of BitSailor is to use the official Bitwarden CLI because then you get the same level of security as with official Bitwarden apps. Using Rust libraries is not the hard thing here. I'm fine with providing rbw as an alternative backend when (if) I have the time to do that, but it will never be the default simply because it's not official.

@rubdos@mastodon.social I might be a bit biased because I wrote it, but BitSailor is probably my most used native app. Which is why I've written it in the first place - sometimes I want to turn off AppSupport and that was kinda hard when I had to open Bitwarden.

RE: https://social.coop/@smallcircles/116292767099140272 This is so disgusting. This is not democracy. The vote has clearly been no. On one hand you try to teach everyone that "no means no" and then you do this. Guess it means no means no unless you really want it to mean yes?

https://fightchatcontrol.eu/?foo=bar

From @chatcontrol@mastodon.social site creator, in a HN comment:

> In an unprecedented move, the #EPP is attempting to force a repeat vote tomorrow, seeking to overturn the otherwise principled March 11 decision and instead favouring indiscriminate mass #surveillance. In an attempt to avoid this, the Greens earlier today tried to remove the repeat vote from the agenda tomorrow, but this was voted down.

> As such, tomorrow, the Parliament will once again vote on Chat Control. And unlike March 11, multiple groups are split on the vote, including S&D and Renew. The EPP remains unified in its support for #ChatControl. If you are a #European citizen, I urge you to contact your #MEPs by e-mail and, if you have time, by calling. We really are in the final stretch here and every action counts. I have just updated the website to reflect the votes today, allowing a more targeted approach.

@dansup@mastodon.social Did anyone claim your projects are hostile? Or you personally?

I don't have a horse in this race so I don't care either way, just saying that listing your pro-developer projects might not be a response to what others think of your behaviour towards them.

@purrperl@noc.social @channelOwen@fosstodon.org SailfishOS is really a mobile OS, not a desktop reskinned as a phone. From what I've read it's also the only Linux phone OS that can be a daily driver unless your needs are very limited. Getting your IDE to work is definitely possible, but there most likely aren't any ready made packages, you'd be on your own to compile it. If you know Linux, you can do pretty much anything (I recently packaged Proton Bridge for SailfishOS, for example), it just might be a bit harder.

@purrperl@noc.social @channelOwen@fosstodon.org Jolla does have some proprietary code, namely parts of the UI, their Android VM solution and some MS Exchange addon. Lately they've been open sourcing more and more parts, so the UI might be fully open source one day.

Yay, just when I though my life wasn't disturbing enough on its own, this gem finally arrived! Guess it's time for a reread, this time with a physical book. If you want to read online, see https://elan.school (WARNING: this is not an easy read, it's extremely disturbing). #ElanSchool #MrJoeNobody

@carstenfranke@mastodon.social Come on, I'm not even American and can tell you:

  • basically anything Clinton did when it comes to economy
  • middle east bullshit, fucking up their lives is a US tradition at this point
  • not codifying Roe v. Wade
  • not abolishing the filibuster

and so on.

The last one might seem mild, but it's actually pretty huge given how many things it could have prevented.

The Roe v. Wade thing is especially disgusting because they used it to scare people into voting democrats.

@marcink @sue @onepict The difference is, if you pose a problem to me, you'll have outlines of a solution in seconds and it's likely to be good (as an outline). I'll happily offload the boring part to AI, creating the solution is what interests me, not really manually implementing it. Not the same thing as a junior robbing themselves (or being robbed) out of experience. I won't gain anything by writing more code, unlike the junior dev.
