That seems vastly more important to me.
I've definitely lost all battles for the ethical and ecological usage of LLM/AI when colleagues happily create AI songs for whatever random, completely pointless, reason.
The enforced usage of LLM for work likely also diminishes the personal responsibility, I guess.
The cost of climate change is lost on too many, even as the countries are hit directly by them.
I suspect it's the catastrophic aspect that makes it seem too "abstract".
Or they just don't care about the world burning, because "it'll not affect them" directly right at this moment.
And none of them care about the ethical aspect of data.

Sure, we saw similar situations 10 years ago because somebody read a blogpost about mega corp X using tech/pattern Y - but now, it reeks of auto generated code.

@fesshole One of the worst of those placeholders I've seen was a corp address to some random place in different continent, only found well into production because somebody had tried to contact that address. (Glad it wasn't mine - I always go with Lipsum because of this :D)
