The "Rewind" title is a connection, albeit tenuous, with the theme, but if you listen carefully to Nagyung just after the 1:00 mark, you will hear her sing " Going round n round". They did stages in all black outfits, but I think the pants and black and white contrasts here are a styling triumph. There are some great dance moves too. #Kpop #fromis9 #Rewind #KpopStyling

#KpopOfTheWeek Every weekend I look back at the preceding week in Kpop and pick out a music video or performance that I have particularly liked. This week I have chosen Le Sserafim -- Made My Night -- Studio Choom. Of all the versions of "Made My Night" that have appeared recently, I like this Studio Choom the best. The absence of Overwatch clutter, tech dress, and set decoration makes this simple piece of dance pop a pleasure for me to watch.The song is too short, a little repetitive and "basic", but still fun for what it is. I like the kicks in the choreography and all the girls look genuinely cheerful as they perform. I was especially struck by how pretty Sakura looks with her pink bob and unbuttoned satin blouse. I shouldn't be charmed by Chaewon's "miwwor", but I am! And it sometimes means you have to search a bit and then you find a cluster of accounts that all boost each other and comment on each other. On that note, I had a friend ask me about #kpop fandoms on the fedi the other day and so I humbly ask for recommendations to follow so I can pass them on. Second side note: I recommend #Monsterdon and #HashtagGames for shenanigans. Third side!note: are we still doing follow fridays? Maybe we can get something like that going, especially if it’s interest-centric. Do it on a Saturday on an Any-day, let’s go. Like, follow this account for indie rock or 80’s mecha anime. (I need to continue #Macross. It’s literally free on YouTube or it was)

Such venom reminds me of how unpleasant online popular culture commentary can be; I don't think that this kind of spite is a purely or even largely a Kpop problem, even though some Kpop spaces (but not the K-Fediverse, as far as I can see) overflow with anger, resentment, and malice.
