I wish people would assume good by default, instead of quickly jumping into assumptions of bad from something so mundane and simple or lacking a tiny few details... then blowing things into outrageous porportions because of the fixation on the evil intents that were fabricated to begin with. So much of my life is a painful memory due to people assuming my intents were bad, when all I intend is good. Am I difficult? Isn't everyone? Hearing problem? Not necessarily. Mental filter problem? Very likely. I hear more things than most people. I can hear speech, but I cant understand speech if it is muffled. Mumbled, thick accent, distorted, etc, cant comprehend what words were spoken amidst noise. Clear speech that is the loudest noise around, is required for my comprehension. My word retention however, is a completely different part of the brain that almost never works unless the words are repeated. Disabling? Hell yes.

I've always struggled with forgetting stuff that is important to other people. I given up remembering other people's special dates, like bdays and anniversaries, because they are so rare, and are remembered by numbers, two areas of brain activity I havent been able to improve my whole life. It has been a decades long struggle to get care support for these socially vital things, and get non-overbearing support from the government. Self-determination support I continue to be waiting for

Once I understood I needed to type words without disguises, I stopped hiding any words, and sometimes purposefully use words that I'm guessing is what someone would filter, so they wont see the topic I wanted to talk about. EG: Let them mute cake. Dont type Kake.

Medical Question...

Is there a certified name for when my eyes blink changes my visual clarity?

I'm very annoyed. Mostly blurred vision, but a rare occasion everything is crystal clear, so I strain to not blink. But then, I blink, and blurr is back... and sticks around for hours, blink blink, clarity change every blink.

Everytime I see someone complain about non voters. I get really pissed off. Painful shame with all the crap they say about non-voters. Much crap. Much bullshit. Ableist fuckwads think bad about me when they bitch, in general, about non-voters. I take it personally, and I know that shit isnt true. Every four years, just more bullshit against what I choose to do. I'm choosing self-care dammit. I choose to prevent me from having sensory overload.

I cant count each time I been misjudged as choosing bad/wrong.

I know myself.
I know I have never wanted to do bad since I was four years old, which was the time I learned the difference between what feels right and good, and what feels bad.

Sadly, I haven't been able to forget my mom disagreeing with my claim that I don't choose to do bad, and she accused me of being malicious.

I was not malicious. I was trying to get something that would make me happy.

@faithisleaping@anarres.family I offer this to you, If you ever get the chance, ou may tell him what I said about myself. Something that often worked for my dad to understand, when he would not believe me, he would sometimes believe when someone else said the same thing. But he would immediately believe me when it is a certified person to say it. Fought with him for years that cheaper food does not taste the same, often, tasted worse than the more expensive stuff. Good luck.

@faithisleaping@anarres.family My circadian rhythm is at it's peak at 3am. What I couldnt convince my dad of: I'm autistic, not spoiled. He eventually got the autistic, but last time I ever saw him, he interrupted me special ordering my meal at Dennys, and says "you'll have to forgive my daughter, she has mental problems" I walked out, and went to nearby fast food. He has no patience for my need tomake sure I wont eat food that bothers my body... he didnt get this food pickiness either.

My dad never believed me about my food sensitivities, until a friend tricked him with his favorite sugary soda... filled his cup with diet, asked dad how is the soda... Dad did not realize it was diet. And this friend let him know, I could taste the difference.

Every punishment I can recall, has to do with a rejection of my autism behaviors. I tell them they are being ableist and hating my autism, but they reject that idea, they didn't hate my autism, they just didn't want me to fidget. They hurt me to my core, emotional pain, verbal abuse. 2/?

Both claimed they loved me, wanted the best for me, to keep me safe frm harm... They didn't know that their unrelenting efforts to make me a 'normal' person was slowly killing me inside. I believe I have lost about 10 years of my lifespan,, and 30 years lost to my dedication to be the girl my parents wanted. 1/?

@faithisleaping@anarres.family I wish there was more acceptance, I believe trans will be acceptable one day. Much has changed with better knowledge. Society doesn't put people in chains and call them hysterical anymore, nor slap a person's left hand when they are using their dominant hand. Sadly, society isnt willing to accept trans, yet. Thank you for being you! I believe one day, they will stop slapping our hands. Acceptance takes time, and stories like yours. Thank you for sharing.

@CordiallyChloe@tech.lgbt I probably would have voted for Kamilia, but I dont want jury duty, which is demanded of people who register to vote, as far as I know. I also have an experience of my dad being forced to go to jury duty regardless of his reasons for not going to jury duty, which were some disability he has to fall asleep when bored... which was proven to happen when testing the jurors. The stress of that situation was too much.

I feel like the typicals are not sensitive enough, as if they are numb. Lights have hurt my eyes since before I could reach the light switch. Problems can be comparisons, expectations, and trying to fit everyone into neat little boxes.

@minego I didnt get a diagnosis of autism until I was in my 20's. Before I was 18, the diagnostic statistics were less refined, and I didnt match what the Diagnostic manual 3 had listed. My whole childhood, not a single therapist could figure out the certifiable name of what was unofficially referred to as "severely emotionally disturbed" I hadnt read the linked article. I read your comment and I'm like.. ME TOO! late diagnosed.

@GNUmatic I would like a translator from English-allistic to English-Autistic. I wish Noise-cancelling cancels all sounds. The worst sound around me is one that an Airpod cant cancel... dog barks. Related: I literally have to give a friend "Durable Power of Attourney" so she can speak on my behalf to get over HIPAA barriers. While translators for NT to ND do not exist in a certifiable form. Hippa is for security, but it is so tight, it gets in my way for my needed disability accmidations.
