#GoodMorning everyone. Off to look at two houses today. One perfect on paper, (but expensive), one cheaper but a bit of a "wild card".

Ffeindiais i'r prosiect clytwaith anorffenedig 'ma yn dŷ fy Mam. Dwi ddim yn gwybod beth roedd hi'n mynd i wneud, felly dwi'n mynd i'w orffen o a gwneud rhywbeth fel clustog neu gwilt glin.
I found this unfinished patchwork project at my Mum's house. I don't know what she was going to do, so I'm going to finish it and make something like a pillow or lap quilt.

As a Welsh learner, I grapple with mutations (where the spelling of a word varies depending on grammatical factors).
Of all the letters in the Welsh alphabet, the only ones not involved in mutation at any point are FF and S, which always amuses me, as FFS is what I often think while trying to learn mutations.

When I was replying, I had to look up current fuel prices to work out what I should be typing. It doesn't come naturally to refer to anything over a pound as a number of pence.

Ah, I think it's pence, not pounds
We were seeing it at 199.9p a litre when we were in rural Wales last week.

Excellent. Business plan:
Buy one bale of silage.
Portion into 500g bags.
Give it a fancy name.
Sell to influencers as a meal replacement.

All sorted now, he was sorry to hear, and we'll settle up next time we're there.
Meanwhile I've called up about an Aviva insurance policy we'd been unaware of, and cancelled a plumbing cover policy we'd also missed.

Q3: On that theme, one of my reasons for making is I 'Make to Learn’.
How do you go about learning new things/skills?
#MakersHour
I often watch videos, sometimes look in books, and then get better with practice.

Q5: I tend not to make many kits because I have a habit of ‘short cutting’ instructions.
Do you always follow instructions, or are you a basher/hacker-about-er?
If you’re teaching someone, would you expect them to always follow the instructions?
#MakersHour
I try to follow instructions, but it depends how obvious I think the process is.
I think it's better to follow instructions if you're learning, then you can choose to ignore them once you have a certain level of skill.

I was clearing out one of Mum's kitchen cupboards today and found the most My Mum thing ever. A thread, read to the end to full Mum-ness.
So, this box at the back of the cupboard was holding bulgar wheat and Green Lentils....

Mum cut down on eating bread, for her waistline, when I was little. This was the tin she kept her Ryvita in. It may have been a promotional item, as the Ryvita packet fitted perfectly.

Reading the article, it's not the giving away food that the Reform bloke is upset about, its the fact that he and his lot got called out for it, and are claiming it's put them at risk of harm. Fecking cowards, happy to make a decision, not happy to take the flack.

A crying baby is ok, they can't help it. And we're lucky that we don't get a lot of dog noise round here, even though people exercise dogs on the green. Most of the houses being flats, there aren't many (any?) dogs actually living here.
And I don't mind a bit of child noise, during the day.. But at midnight? What are they doing even out of bed at that time?
