An instance is just like other NFP's or community groups: the challenging parts are less the subject matter, and more the common issues shared by all such groups - human, communication, governance and resourcing.

Like many connected with @mstdn.ca, I'm concerned about unproven news reports about Inglewood Community League and their former treasurer - who also runs this instance.
Justice needs to run his course. Rather than abandoning this instance over allegations rather then what is proven impropriety, I'm staying here for now.
But mstdn.ca is vulnerable - as others have said its too centralised. I'm backing up my lists of followers, so if I have to start afresh, I can import these lists into a new account on a fresh instance.

I also find the best way to use AI is to entirely ignore an algorithm which is merely designed to generate something that looks plausible - and then to use your own reasoning and logic.
