I ran out of the house in pjs, hair a mess, and 1 sock on to ask the waste collection guy why he looked in my green bin bag but weren’t taking it.
They are the truck for yard collection, he says.
I told them yard collection was picked up an hour ago. They said yes, that was them. So why are they driving by… again? The question remains unanswered.

It sounded like the coyotes were hunting for calves last night and calling in backup; while the cows on the other hand were making noise to alert and protect their herd.

@adam thanks! not sure my wee complaint will change anything, but I find it ridiculous it took escalating things this far for a resolution that should have been made during the first call. Every Roger’s rep we spoke to over the 3 months agreed it should have been cancelled during the first phone call. I wonder how much they lost in operational waste. If they care so much about profits they should probably look at how efficient their systems are.

@human3500 update: he had only messaged me to potentially set something up and the conversation didn’t go anywhere so I left it and went on with my day ahaha.
This might not be the right place but does anybody know where I can get an at-home sulphur water testing kit? Even the plumbing store doesn’t sell them anymore.
For reference it’s to test my well water for sulphur specifically.
Edit: after some research and thinking back to a conversation I had today to which I didn’t put the pieces together, I’ve realized it’s likely a super expensive testing kit that I’m looking for. I’ve just reached out to a local water company to see if they have one.

People change.. or maybe they are the same all along.. who knows.. but his actions doesn’t take anything away from my life, only his.

@jfmezei Yeah, I'm with you on that. It's definitely a lot easier at times to just use your personal card and be reimbursed. It's also sometimes a standard of practice with organizations -- for better or worse -- this could very well be how things were just done.

@Dianora I’m also later in the day now!! I actually appreciate it. They used to come at 7:30 and it was a mad dash to get it out in time.
I also noticed there are more trucks.. 3 trucks for black bin weeks now, 4 for garbage weeks. And for my rural road.. they used to do one drive by and pick up on both sides of the street. Now they drive each way and collect the respective side they are on.

Yes, it does smell.. and before I determine the fix I need to figure out the source. It could be just my hot water tank and the magnesium anode or it could be the well. Going to start with testing the water first.

@dougcuff truthfully I’m the one people should be afraid of 😂 but I alwaysssss have a safety plan when I date (unfortunately). Also the conversation died before it really began so I don’t think we have anything to worry about.

@mariellequinton@ottawa.place the point is the increase the gap between 80km drivers and 20km over the speed limit drivers and cause more accidents thus helping the insurance and automotive industry. Atleast I assume that’s the reason.

@johnefrancis thanks for the recommendation. The water has been tested already! Apparently for this sulphur test it needs to be an at home test and it wasn’t done with the other testing last year. I’m truthfully unsure.. I’m getting conflicting answers and the plumber who did the work sucks.
