Annoyed:
Shocked at how uneducated so many Americans are, to believe the BS the Right is spewing. But, I grew up in that environment so I can’t be too surprised.
Liberal:
I believe society has a moral responsibility to support ALL of us, regardless of the color of our skin, the language we speak, whether we worship a god or not, who we love and how we identify ourselves. Healthcare is a right, not a privilege.
Pragmatist:
Forward progress matters most of all. Sometimes it’s slow, sideways or even a step back. The goal is what matters. Perfect is often the enemy of a good start.
Music:
In no order: Ambient, Techno, Alternative (whatever that means), New Wave, Jazz, Neo Classical (see Alternative), KEXP.org, other stuff, NOT Country

I posted on the Reddit devoted to the book, seeking to understand. I got shredded by the diehard fans, who refused to engage my questions and basically told me to go away. Sigh.
My favorite radio station, KEXP in Seattle/kexp.org, keeps coming up in various media as a source for live music recordings.
I think the KEXP video stream on YouTube has become the successor of the John Peele Sessions. Bravo!

I baked another batch of my blueberry raisin pecan oat bran muffins today (AKA my fiber bombs). I don’t bake much (my wife is the master) but this is one of my few specialties. Content with an accomplishment on an otherwise lazy day.

@theropologist I see it periodically. I’m primarily using Ivory on a relatively new iPad with lots of memory.
I see it on TL thumbnails as well as the zoom. Oddly, I click on the thumbnail and, just before it drills into the toot, the thumbnail flashes in. Same going back, if the zoom hasn’t loaded.
One more anecdote. A few times I’ve seen it, the source was a Pixelfed account. May be coincidence but I saw it enough that it’s worth considering.
The round of 32 Germany-Paraguay game is reminding me a lot of the Brazilian-Japan game that just ended.

@maxleibman I’ve done similar. A colleague and I went to an industry event where we were registered through our company. That event allowed you to day of registration, for a nominal cost.
We left and re-registered under LLCs we each separately had. Much easier to get competitors to talk to us and demo their products. No NDA level info but good to hear how they talk about their products
